This is a well established family business with the friendliness and integrity that come along in such settings. The setting keeps improving constantly and the plants are nice. They have so many varieties of plants that are battle tested for the Alberta Foothills. But mostly, you come here for the service and the expertise. Folks here are knowledgeable and their advise is gold. Most definitely worth the drive from Calgary.

This greenhouse has the most amazing flower pots this season. Get them before they are all gone. They have the cutest little coffee cart so be sure to get a coffee and a treat, grab a table in the shade and enjoy all the beautiful flowers.

Wow! This is a lovely place to pick up pretty much everything you could want for your garden. Incredible selection and reasonable pricing. And they guarantee perennial shrubs and trees for 2 years! Will be back!

Nice find! Was looking for a specific, hard-to-find perreniel plant that none of the Calgary locations had this year. Called Patty at Vales and she had a few. We drove out and voila! What a great greenhouse...I ended up buying extra items because I just couldn't resist. The staff is über friendly and helpful, and it's obviously a much beloved location because everyone there seemed to know one another... You know the place: people chat about plants while shopping, while looking, while waiting in line, etc. Loved it!

Amazing greenhouse and garden centre. The staff and owner were very helpful in helping us find complementary plants. The choice of plants is vast and interesting, including many unusual varietals, art, baskets, .... I've included some of my favorites, but there were so many! Google reviews asks if this place is wheelchair accessible. It is,but the alleys and what's are small river gravel.

Had a beautiful drive in the foothills and the countryside is beautiful. Walked around Vale’s to get ideas for a new garden I am planing in the spring. They have so many wonderful things for your yard and garden.

Vales Greenhouse is a jewel in the small town of Black Diamond! My friend from Canmore who is a customer & has raved about this beautiful spot offered to drive to Calgary & take me there on May 2.
I have health issues & limited mobility & was planning to use a wheelchair. Calling ahead the owner Katrina suggested we arrive later in the day as they would be open to 7 PM. Although pathways within the various greenhouses are packed gravel ~ she offered to be as accommodating as possible & she was! It was my 1st visit to 'Vales Greenhouse' & from the moment we entered I felt as though we had entered paradise. The gorgeous & unusual colours as well as the quality of the plants & the amazing scents floating through the air was wonderful. We wandered at our heart's content & the staff are so friendly & accommodating! My friend was purchasing for her mountain garden & myself for a Calgary patio! We were so excited with our purchases! And yes ~ all the practices at 'Vales Greenhouse' are set-up with safe practices re: Covid. I would encourage a visit sooner rather than later as some of the plants are more unusual & selling quickly. My friend has returned a second time as her son & fiance arranged a post Mother's Day excursion & 2 others I have spoken to will be going as well. The drive out in the country will do your heart good & you will find some amazing plants & other garden & home treasures in the shop. Enjoy the Experience!!

Amazing place with an incredible selection of beautiful, healthy tropical, annuals, biennials, and perennials at really decent pricing. It is a beautiful place to just wander around in, especially in spring/summer autumn.
