A must stop when heading north on HWY 17. First went here on family road trips and the taste of the smoked whitefish is a core memory. I now stop here with my wife on our road trips up north and tastes just as good, maybe even better!

Have been stopping here for over 40 years. It has seen changes, even a closure for a while. What hasn't changed is the quality of the fish and the friendly service.

Stopped here when in Blind River for work, got some smoked lemon pepper seasoned Whitefish and it was amazing. Had to go back and stock up on more before heading home.

This place is just awesome I don't care what anyone says it's super cheap and super yummy the best in the entire North shore algoma area for lake trout and rainbow trout hands now sooooo gooooodddd yummy and 9 to 12 bucks for a huge chunk of fish you can't go fishing or buy it raw for that price I buy a few hundred dollars worth every single time I'm close to the store to stock up everyone who has tasted it agrees Krista your the best smoker out there ? thank you for keeping this awesome northshore treasure alive thank you so much for re-opening this store to you and your husband both thank you so much this store should be on the registry of greatest wounders of Ontario

Stopped here with my partner and picked up the best cajun smoked trout I’ve ever had, on our way home we stopped again for more. a little early, but luckily I called and Clarence was on his way to open the shop. Can’t recommend enough !!

While my better half & I were driving from Toronto to Vancouver, we made the awesome decision to stop at Clarence’s Fish Market. Wow, the smoked fish here, made lovingly by Krista, is phenomenal! We’ve been lucky to travel to different countries around the world & in our opinion this place has the best locally caught smoked fish we have ever eaten.
First we bought a big piece of smoked trout. We had to have some right away & we ended up eating the entire piece at Clarence’s. Then we bought a huge cryovaced package of the trout to bring back to Vancouver, as well as a big smoked herring. The delicious herring was eaten along the way home, while we exerted our will-power and saved the trout to enjoy at home. We’re just finishing up the trout & it’s as good today as when we bought our 1st piece.

Every time we travel we make a point to stop here for smoked fish! It has always been the most amazing smoked fish I have ever eaten! We came through this past weekend and the fish was actually disgusting. It was so dry it might as well been fish jerky. It was extremely dry and to be quite honest did not have amazing flavour that I longed for! I purchased $30 worth of sad ?. Our future road trips will no longer include a stop for smoked fish!
