When you fill up, you hope to be able to wash your windshield and light. They only had dirty ice water. Having good vision and headlights clean is crucial.

Nice convenient store that initially I would have had only nice things to say about. They are advertised as being open til 10. I work late, oftentimes not getting off until 930. I have to drive from red deer back to blackfalds. On the way home I figured I'd stop by and grab a couple essentials I needed. 9:50 pm, neat closing but not quite. Sign says OPEN, and I go to open the door, it's locked. Lady is mopping the floor in front of the door. I knock on the door and point to the open sign still flashing in front of me. She walks to the back and does not come back. Incredibly disappointed. If you're going to advertise that you're open until 10, be open until 10. If you have a paying customer, don't ignore them DURING YOUR OPERATING HOURS, and hide in the back. Only reason it's 2 stars has been the multitude of pleasant experiences beforehand.

Update: I wanted to update this review after more than a year because their service has still been great. They're still the closest convenience store to where I live and the staff has been awesome the whole time. Since moving to the new location, they're even closer, now have a gas bar, have an expanded food and snack selection, and have an improved ice cream section that, at least in this summer heat, has been awesome. The one unpleasant experience aside, the store has continued to be great.

Everything is very pricey.. cigarettes are highly priced and I bought candy (airheads) that we’re $0.79 each and at 7/11 they were $0.40.
Bread was $5.00..
Very cramped in the store and confusing isles.
high priced compared to most stores in blackfalds but good if you’re in a pinch I guess.
Staff can be friendly at times.

I abosulutely LOVE this place! Been coming here since it opened with family! Owner is very nice and kind, and usually fair to all. BIG variety of items from drinks to chips to cooking supply's to cleaning supply's! If youre in a pinch and need something, and not willing to travel far, this max will have it!
