We stopped on our drive back home to let the kids wear off some of their energy. They had a blast at this inclusive playground. They especially loved the zip lines. This might become a regular stop on our travels down the QE2.

This playground blew me completely away! At first glance it appeared an average place to play, and it certainly isn't located in the most beautiful location. Yet you can tell alot of thought went into making this place accessible to kids with handicaps as well as being a unique and fun place for any kid to play. My children's favorite feature was the seated "zip-line". I've never seen something like this at a playground before! Two different lines, one with a seat for a kid with handicaps that requires a seatbelt. The other a circular seat on a rope to sit on.
The rest of the playground had a lot of neat features my 5 and 8 year old loved too. But I'm going to detail the accessible/inclusive features below.
The play structure has wheelchair accessible ramps leading up to it so any child can play. There is a merry-go-round built so that the ground is level with it- and it has a section of the fenced part of it missing so a wheelchair could fit in it too. There is also an inclusive swing as well as a mom/tot swing and regular swings. There are drums and music flowers with a drumstick attached to it my kids enjoyed. There is a 4 seated see-saw that is handicap accessible (seats that have a back and some sides on them). There are a few other things as well.
I would definitely recommend. It's a cute place, well built, and the mini zip lines themself are worth coming for. I like how it's a place kids could play together regardless of any disability. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

My kids love this playground. It's well worth the drive from the other side of town, probably one of the nicest of Blackfalds' numerous great playgrounds.
