Modelling with Connie is so empowering, and she coaches you through every pose, so you feel comfortable. Connie shows you the photos before sharing them on social media to make sure you approve of the photo. It is a wonderful experience modelling and being around positive people. I have met many wonderful people on set who are encouraging and supportive. It is so much fun!
I have been fortunate enough to build a friendship with Connie over the past 10 months and appreciate her love of fashion. She brings in beautiful pieces, many of which I have fallen in love with. I always feel amazing wearing the liquid leggings and the beautiful bright pink Jaipur knit sweater. I love the comfort hoodies and Corsica leggings. The Calgary denim jacket is a great transition piece. What can I say, I’m addicted. Cities and Ocean’s pieces are great for just relaxing or to wear to work and can be styled many ways.
I love Cities and Oceans body positive message. I am curvier and haven’t always saw representation of other women that looked like me and often finding clothing that I felt good in was a struggle. Cities and Oceans' Tropicana Gala Fashion Show was extremely well organized and amazing to attend.The local models walked confidently in a room full of guests and inspired the crowd to practice self love. It was an exceptional display of diversity and advocated for everyone to wear pieces they enjoy. I was impressed with the level of detail Connie put into the event and her speech inspired everyone. The Athena and Varadero are my favourite swimsuits, and the Caramel Mocha Crewneck sweater dress is one of my fav clothes items! I paid it with the Calgary denim jacket and it’s always a hit! The styles are always in, and the versatility of each piece is amazing! You can go from every day wear to glam for the night seamlessly! I always have so much fun with Connie and whoever else is modelling with us that day. It’s easy, fun, exciting, and helps me maintain a piece of ‘me’. I think that the body positive message Connie and C&O spread is something that our media, especially social, is lacking. We always see these perfect bodies that are airbrushed and touched up. Connie helps us show the real us, untouched and unfiltered, and by seeing this it blooms self love and acceptance that motivates you to reach your goals, whatever they may be.

The clothes always feel high quality and fit well. Connie always takes into consideration your measurements and your body type to make you feel comfortable and confident with what you're wearing. She pulls different options that I normally wouldn't choose and I end up falling in love with them!

My personal favourite is the Paris cropped knit that I have in both blue and white.

Over the years, I had the ability to come out of my comfort zone and be photographed in addition to meeting many lovely people.

It is great to see a community of amazing women of different body types unite to showcase that every body is beautiful, powerful and unique.
