I am basically stranded here, I was left here while I was sleeping in my walker someone is trying to get out of paying for their hotel bill…I cancelled an order I had just in order to pay for a night here at $114 a night which I gave the manager cash for. I am making the best of though, I have been able to get a lot of work done on the book 📕 that I am currently writing. The rooms are small about the size of a small bedroom, but I don’t mind that, I enjoy cozy 🧸 🛋️ 💺. No one was in the lobby anytime I came in and the lights were never on so for me with it being this close to Halloween made it feel different somehow. There are no phones in the bedrooms to call down to management or even emergency and no kind of emergency call system or button at all.
Since I’ve been here, there has been no coffee at all in the lobby or in the dining room in the morning, or anytime of the day. It gave me the spooky Halloween 👻 vibe
There is a great little restaurant just a few doors down ‘The Empress’ that I love to eat at.

Updated modern rooms that were surprisingly quite large inside this historic hotel. The lady working behind the counter was so super friendly and definitely made us feel welcome. Super easy to find (excusing the fact that Elk Point is a small town). 10/10 would recommend and I thoroughly look forward to staying here again in the future.
