Garbage for sale. I tried them out for the first time in their auction yesterday, none of the three items I bought work properly, all are broken to different degrees. Do not buy things here.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! THEY RIPPED ME OFF BIG TIME!!! I was very sick at the time and I lost my job and apartment and I was in the hospital. I was now homeless at the time and they took advantage of me. I had to move all of my stuff out of the apartment and my storage unit was full. So I called Able Auctions. They came to my apartment and took thousands of dollars worth of my stuff. I had very new and very high quality items. For example a Webber barbecue, practically new furniture, stand-up freezer and the list goes on and on. I still have the receipt from them so I have proof. They gave me less than $200 for everything! I couldn't believe it so when I tried to contact them they just completely ignored me. I took a HUGE loss and these scammers got away with it. This is a horrible company, don't trust them!!! ?

I am a regular auction buyer. I was not impressed with their pick up procedures or staff. The other auctions will bring your item to their bay door, then you are responsible for loading. At this place, you go into their warehouse and they show you where your item is and walk away. We purchased a large piece of furniture that was in the far back corner of their warehouse. We had a hard time maneuvering it through the maze of stuff and had to move their stuff out of the way to get ours out while the staff stood around laughing and smiling at us. I won't be purchasing anything from Able Auctions again.

EDIT of my earlier review: Test the electronics first thing when you take them home. As many other posters have said, sometimes a few electronic items do not work. Contact them first thing when you find out that. They might try to take care of the situation if you contact them early enough. It's a hassle if you live far from this auction site but at least they were helpful.

Would not recommend buying “wrapped” pallets from them. Most of the things that are in the sealed box make you assume that they are new, or at least have all parts. But in fact most of them are only parts, and basically no use at all.

For some other items Able Auctions do note that they “might be missing parts”, but not for bigger pallets. It might be intentional, so that customers would bid on the pallets. And after you win the bid and found that the items are not what they should be, you can’t just say “i don’t want to take the pallets”, they will make you pay and take those items away.

For smaller individual items they mostly come as advertised, which I appreciate. Just keep away from “mystery” pallets!

Just bear in mind, products they sell are, quoting the staff there "will go to the landfill if unbidden". Their website shows various items with relatively decent packaging which gives you a wrong impression that the items are either new or close to new in good shape, but the reality is not anywhere close. For the most part, you are buying stuff even thrift stores won't sell. So for their products I would give zero star.
However, in all fairness the staff/manager there was trying to help me when I was shocked by the condition of the item I bought. So I will give them an average 2 stars.
Will never touch again though, lesson learned.

Good deals at the auction on quality items, safe precautions can't wait for new auctions. Collectors Heaven! Trucks, machines and even airplane! Very recommended!
