We have been in Fort Mac for over 15+ years and are jaded by limited choices for modern/contemporary style for the living room. Well, I can say City Furniture is a great addition to our town and has access to known companies like Lazy Boy etc.
What stood out the most in our visit was the customer service that Imaan and his staff provided. This is the kind of service you expect from a bigger city like Edmonton or Calgary. He answered questions I had, not pressuring, and was personable and fast. I think he was dealing with two clients and training but you don't feel “set aside”. You can tell he works hard.

I haven't received my furniture yet. I'll come back and update my review to include my feedback on delivery and of course pictures! Stay tuned!

Delivery 1of2: Same-day delivery?! No way!! Well, I did from city furniture and they arrived within the time allotment. They set it up and all I had to do was sit on it and relax.

This was by far the best experience I've had in Fort McMurray for buying furniture. I dealt with Imaan who was excellent to deal with. Knows every product on his floor and the best part is the availability. Almost everything we needed was in stock and even got same day delivery. Best selection in town for couches and was a no pressure sale. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't want or need but double checked we had everything we need. We forgot about a mattress pad and luckily during the double-check he asked if we had one so inturn we bought one. Again can't say enough good things about this place shop local and support this great business. Great prices, great service and again beat part amazing stock.

We just recently purchased our first home and we needed all new furniture . We found everything we needed at City Furniture and it was so easy!! They have the BEST customer service and explained all the warranty options and made the delivery so simple. We have bought living room , dinning room and bedrooms everything from they and all their staff is so great to work with. I just loved the quality of the furniture which made me get everything from them. Definitely recommend checking them out if you need anything along the lines of furniture and appliances!! 🙂

Incredible customer service from every employee in store and over the phone! Really good selection and pricing - I’ve bought my bed and bed frame, couch, rug, coffee table, and TV stand here and have been amazed at how affordable the prices are for each. The boys who deliver the furniture are very kind and great workers too! Thank you guys so much for everything!

So we just purchased a brand new home and needed a large sectional to accommodate our big family. After doing a lot of cross references, I found city furniture had the best prices for the items I wanted. Not only that, but I discovered that I made an error in calculating the measurements for the sectional for our space. When I called to see if there was anything that could be done (smaller loveseat sectional was already ordered), the owner went above and beyond to correct the issue. I am so thankful because the smaller one wouldn’t fit our family, or our large living space. We got the sectional, area rug, ottoman and throw blanket (not the one that is on the ottoman) from city furniture. Highly recommend! (Posted a picture. Don’t mind the missing curtains and bare walls, just moved in 3 weeks ago lol)

City Furniture: A Soul-Crushing Monument to Everything That’s Wrong with the World

If I could distill all the suffering, rage, and disappointment of my entire life into a single entity, it would be City Furniture. This store isn’t just bad—it’s a blight on existence itself. It’s the embodiment of all the lies, scams, and broken promises that humanity is capable of. If there is anything in this world I despise more than anything else, it’s City Furniture.

I wish I could say my experience was a one-off disaster, but no—it was a soul-deadening cascade of misery, each moment worse than the last. The moment I walked into their showroom, I could feel the oppressive weight of my poor decision pressing down on me. The polished floors, the “friendly” staff—everything about it was designed to lure you in, only to drain the life out of you once you’ve handed over your money. The false sense of security they give you is as thick as the fake smiles plastered on their employees' faces. They’re like predators, and you’re the prey.

The furniture I bought from them? It was a mockery of comfort. The sofa sagged in the middle as if it was already broken before I even sat on it. The mattress? It felt like sleeping on a brick with a thin layer of foam pretending to be "memory foam." I’m convinced the entire store is an elaborate joke, and I was the punchline.

And don’t even get me started on the customer service. I would have gotten more empathy from a brick wall. The calls, the emails, the endless runaround—it’s like they have a special department dedicated to breaking your spirit. Every conversation was a new low. Promises were made. Promises were broken. Refunds were promised. Refunds never came. I spent hours, days, weeks—months—trying to resolve issues, only to be met with cold indifference and empty apologies. I could feel my hope wither away, like a plant slowly dying under the weight of their incompetence.
The delivery process was no better. Delivery times were never respected, communication was non-existent, and when the furniture finally arrived, it was damaged—again. City Furniture is the place where you learn that “new” doesn’t mean “new”—it means “worn out, poorly made, and a constant reminder that you’ll never get your money back.” They’ve perfected the art of stealing from you while making you feel like you’re the one at fault.

At this point, I am convinced that City Furniture doesn’t even exist to sell furniture—they exist solely to destroy whatever shred of peace or dignity you had left. It is a vortex of despair, a pit of frustration and deceit that swallows your time, money, and sanity. Every day that I spent dealing with them, every minute I spent hoping for resolution, I felt myself become a little less human, a little more numb.

If I could somehow erase my memory of ever stepping foot in that store, I would. The mere thought of City Furniture fills me with such intense, irrational rage that I can feel it in my bones. I hate it. I loathe it. There is literally nothing in this world I hate more than City Furniture. It has ruined me, in ways I’ll never fully understand.

Do yourself a favor and avoid it. Or better yet, set your money on fire and use it as kindling for a fire that will burn away the lingering, toxic memory of City Furniture forever. The choice is yours, but know this: you’ve been warned.
