Before your appointment the store will send you a survey to determine what you’re looking for regards of style, budget ect. However upon arriving it was very clear that they did not listen to the survey and are more interested in commission and instead will push all kinds of dresses/accessories on to you . I purchased two dresses in April, wanting to get a few minor adjustments in hopes of them being ready for the end of August. I had to pay an extra 100 per dress to get it “rushed” only to have the dress arrive too late and at that point I did not feel confident that my alterations would be done in time. While the seamstress does seem knowledgeable, she is also very forgetful. If you have other options I would suggest exploring those first.

I had a terrible experience here. Rude customer service from the owner. I called a week after the date in which we agreed my dress alterations would be finished and the lady on the phone basically made me feel bad for calling. My dress was not ready until the day I was leaving for Edmonton to go to my wedding (which was two weeks after the date we agreed on). The alterations were terrible. I don’t think she shortened and hemmed the dress, it was longer than we agreed on and she messed up the bust making the fabric looked bunched and pointed. I had no time to get it fixed by the seamstress, nor did I want her to do it. I try to support local, but I was extremely disappointed in my dress. I do not recommend shopping here.

STAY AWAY! My wedding is July 22/23. We leave for Nova Scotia July 16/23 for the wedding. I told Lynn, the owner, my dates of departure when I had my dress fitting on May 23/23. I called June 20/23 to inquire after progress, Lynn said the dress was not started. I went into the shop on July 5/23. I told Lynn I was anxious and frustrated that the dress was not done. I wanted a date of completion. Lynn evaded the question. I told her that I would be back on July 12/23 if I did not hear from her beforehand to get the dress. I called the shop on July 11/23, the dress was still not complete. I told Lynn that I was upset and picking it up July 12/23 regardless of its completion. I did not trust that if there were any adjustments required at the final fitting that she would complete them before I left in 3 days. She did not acknowledge any inconvenience or how upset I was. She did not apologize for the situation she put me in. She charged me $300. I took the dress directly to another seamstress who identified that the bust and lace overlay was not sewn properly. Lynn botched the adjustments to my bust by cutting corners on her work. The seamstress had to undo most of the work completed by Lynn and redo it. So I was overcharged by Lynn who portrayed the dress as completed upon pick-up and I was treated very poorly and unprofessionally by Lynn. I am now having to pay twice for most of the work that I paid Lynn to do. The new seamstress is getting done in one afternoon what it took Lynn over 1.5 months to not complete or properly do. My Fiancé spoke with Lynn on July 14/23 looking for a refund for the poor quality of work and the dress being unfinished. They acknowledged that no work had started on the dress before the week of the 3rd of July. Though they were aware of our departure date on July 16. They blamed me for not trying on the dress before taking it. Lynn wrote a cheque for a refund of $200, slapped it at my Fiancé and told him to “have a nice life” in a condescending tone.

Horrible Experience. I got my wedding dress from them and when it came in it was so big I could slip it off even when it was tied as tight as it could go. There workers would not admit tk ordering the wrong size and wanted me to pay half of what my dress was worth just for the alterations so it would fit. I refused and took my dress and went on a gain weight to fit into my dress mission. Even by doing that on my wedding day my dress was still tied as tight as I could go just to stay on (so no nice lace up back look just a mess of riibbon) plus in the photos there are still areas where you could see it bunching since it was so loose.

This week was my 1st and 2nd time I had ever gone into icings bridal shop and boy was I impressed. I 100% reccomend anyone looking for good, honest help with picking out the perfect dress, go see Ashley and Heather. They made my daughters prom gown shopping experience easier and more fun than we could have imagined. So thankful for their kindness , laughter, and personal touches in making my grad feel amazing.

Went in last night with my maid of honor to look at bridesmaid dresses.
Even though they weren't open late evenings, I called ahead and the owner stayed and waited for us to get there. She was very patient as we went through and tried on dress after dress after dress. The selection of bridesmaids dress samples is incredible! I have been all over the bridal boutiques in the city and Icings had a far better selection than any other I've seen. (For Bridesmaids dresses). I can't comment on the wedding dresses, but if you're shopping for Bridesmaids dresses make this your first stop!

Our bridal party bought our dresses here, and it has been nothing short of a gong show since - every dress had to be resized (understandable), but trying to get the seamstress to understand the importance of everyone being from out of town and needing the dresses to be ready early enough to ensure it fit correctly has been a nightmare. Now we are down to the wire and picking up dresses 2 days before the wedding, hoping that they will actually fit correctly....very disappointed with the service.

I had asked these ladies to order a dress for me for my wedding, and it was an expensive dress but very very beautiful! I had never been in to visit the store, I had just called them and I live in Fort McMurray and was willing to drive down and get this dress. Months later due to the economy I didn't feel comfortable paying that price for a dress anymore which they had already ordered in for me. The positive side to this is they told me we will order this dress for you and if for some reason it is not for you we will sale it in the store and when I told them I didn't want to spend that amount of money at that time they were so understanding. I just wanted to say thank you, even though I didn't make it down there but you were so accommodating and anyone who ever has a chance to deal with these lovely ladies consider yourself blessed!
