My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had Beef Cheek (a first for me) which was a succulent piece of meat, slow roasted in a delicious sauce served with super tasty layered potatoes. My wife had quail, which was very good and also beautifuly presented (2 of the small birds fully separated into boneless breast and legs) on a tasty potato puree. We prefaced our main with a shared tomato bruschetta... It was a slice of rye toast with a so-fresh yellow tomato topped with fresh mozzarella and drizzled with basil pesto and balsamic vinegar. Yum!
Dessert was equally good and well presented, see my photo. Between courses we ducked outside to enjoy the setting sun on the shores of Georgian Bay.

Everything about this place was fantastic. Donata and Sander were amazing hosts, made you feel so welcome and such personalized service. The rooms are beautifully decorated, cozy and with intricate touches like lavender soaps, bath bomb, Nespresso machine. We stayed in the Harbour Suite and it had the best view of the water. I really enjoyed the stand alone tub as well. The food was also delicious. I was a bit worried because I have celiac and needed gluten free options but they worked hard to accommodate me which I really appreciated. The breakfast omellette was one of the best I've had. We also had dinner one night which was equally great. Overall we had such a romantic weekend getaway and I highly recommend this place. We hope to return one day!

My husband and I stayed at SweetWater Bay in August for our wedding anniversary. We drove from Ohio to enjoy some fresh air and much needed R&R - and every detail of the trip exceeded our expectations. Personal service, thoughtful and expertly prepared food and drink, a gorgeous, quiet property and quiet, high end, well maintained suites. We cannot wait to come back next year!

We enjoyed dinner and drinks and found it the perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate after hiking the Bruce Trail!

Upon arrival, the chef greeted us outside and made us feel at home. The service was excellent.

Donata and Sander were perfect hosts – welcoming and attentive without being obtrusive. The views are spectacular and the decks down to the bay provide a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular view and beautiful sunsets.|The food was sublime – top restaurant standard. Not surprising given both hosts are chefs who clearly love serving the highest quality food.|The décor throughout is tasteful and comfortable and reflects perfectly the beauty of the location.|Our stay was so relaxing and peaceful. It is perfect for a luxury relaxing break in a stunning location. We hope to return one day soon, and will be recommending to any of our friends travelling to Ontario. We came for Tobermory, we would return for SweetWater Bay.|

There are not enough words to describe this place - it’s a superb retreat from the world. Incredibly and tastefully furnished. Immaculately clean and everything has been well thought out. From the pocket torches for a moonlight stroll, the special makeup remover washcloth, extra cloths to wipe up spills (from my bad tea pouring of the gooseneck kettle) to the espresso machine and gorgeous lavender soap, this place oozes charm. Perfect scenery. In addition to this Donata and all the team are wonderful. With the Dutch chef creating a small but scrumptious menu and great breakfast options you’ll u cannot go wrong. Yes it’s expensive and worth every single penny.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. It was absolutely wonderful. Donata and her husband are superb hostess and host. The breakfast and dinner were mouthwatering.
We stayed in the “bears rump suite” had an amazing view of the bay, wonderful deck to sit out on and the bed was so so comfortable.
The weather was not nice on part of the stay and we stayed inside in the beautiful family room reading and relaxing.
The hiking trails are beautiful.
We will definitely be back again!
