I went to Action for the installation of a standard hitch on my SUV. It took over six weeks for the hitch to arrive and throughout this time I was continually told that the hitch was in stock and it would arrive in the next day or two. As a result of not being able to use my trailer, I missed the only hazardous waste day in Timmins, a weekend of free-tipping fees at the dump and had to pay for building materials to be delivered (five weeks after the hitch had been ordered). When it actually came time to install the hitch, I was told that my frame was too rusty on one side to hold the bolt and that they didn't know anywhere in town that could fix the issue. I took the hitch to my families mechanic in Huntsville and he confirmed that my frame was in great condition and that the threads had been stripped from the bolt being over-tightened. He also explained that lots of shops would be able to correct this issue. He fixed the issue and installed it in a couple of hours. I reached out to customer support and although they agreed that I should have been warned about the wait time, that the reasoning behind why the hitch couldn't be installed should have been explained better, and that there are local shops that could fix it, they did not compensate me in anyway for the stress or financial loss I had incurred. They did offer an undisclosed discount if I were to get something from them in the future, which I clearly will not be doing. I do not recommend this company.
