I am nearly new to Uxbridge and have been shopping at this store since February 2024. Sometimes, I feel awkward during checkout time with services, but I used to ignore them and not give them more importance. This evening (March 24th, 2025), I was poorly treated by a lady cashier who wore a black mask. Once it was my turn to check out, she did not talk or make eye contact with me, but she waved her hand closer to her mask area and showed me something smelling indirect. It was a very, very racist moment that I felt today. Please respect people's colours and culture. We also pay our own money to buy groceries.

Short blond haired older lady at the self checkout was pretty rude to me today...Feb 4, 2025. I asked her for a price check because the price did not ring in properly, she was not happy.

While my wife was shopping I was sitting on the park bench at the front of the store, directly in front of the self check out! I saw the older lady short blond/white hair, the one that never smiles, blow her nose into a tissue! She did this several times while I was waiting. Actually she even did a quick swipe with her hand once! What disturbs me is not once did she wash or use hand cleaner before going over to a customer at the self check out and using the key pad!
Other store workers wore masks to prevent them from getting germs, but this one seems oblivious to how she might be spreading germs!

I like this store a lot. I wish it wasn't owned by Galen Weston. Prices actually seemed better than other Loblaw stores. But I still won't shop there regularly on principle.
