We have had two Goldens from Chartwell. Dufferin, who broke our hearts when he passed in 2016, and now Rascal who was born in 2017. My family and I could not have asked for better dogs. There are no more handsome animals out there and their temperament is outstanding; both were/are great with our two young daughters, their friends, and our family and guests (as long as you like big hairy goof balls :-D).

Val is a great lady who loves her dogs and freely offers help and advice when needed.

We got our beloved Nala spring of 2001 from Chartwell. She was the most beautiful, loving and adored Golden ever. She enriched our lives until 2014, months before our first grandchild was born. Now my daughter and grandchildren want a Nala of their own! There is no other breeder I would recommend. Thank you Val for a lifetime commitment to breeding such special dogs—truly a gift for our family ❤️

We welcomed our first Chartwell Golden into our home in the fall of 2004 and our beautiful Sampson passed away just before Christmas of 2018. He was beyond handsome and honestly the most incredible, friendly, playful, loving dog we could ever imagine or want. The picture of health he passed away naturally at 14 1/2 years old, we honestly could not have asked for more.
After Sampson passed we took a peek at a few kennels closer to home but we know that what makes Chartwell stand apart is that they truly do breed for longevity and of course, we personally feel Val and Bob's dogs are the most beautiful Goldens anywhere. We are excited to get our next Chartwell Golden in a short while and we know this new dog will continue a legacy that Sampson started!

Great Breeder! Truly cares for the dogs that she breeds and breeds great quality dogs. My parents have two Goldens from this breeder, both are very healthy and beautiful dogs! My girlfriend and I purchased a puppy from Chartwell in early December 2019 and we are very happy with the addition to our family. Gorgeous golden retrievers ranging in colour from medium gold to cream. We highly recommend this breeder.

We got our beautiful boy from Val in October. He is now 8 months. His personality is just amazing and he is so stunning! Amazing with our 2 boys! The love Val gives her puppies truly makes the dog they become! We just love our Chester! Thank you Val for these beautiful dogs! They are so special!
