First time stay was in 2024 and we have rebooked for 2025. Great lake for muskie and walleye! Cottages are wonderful and property is nice, clean and perfect for having our grandchild up. Joanna is so kind and pleasant to work with.

My partner has also booked another weekend here with his fishing group for October!

Great close-together and comfortable cottages! The layout of Beachwood Hollow Resort is perfect for families cottaging together in multiple cottages - which is exactly what we needed as a large family.
Lots of grassy area to hangout, play games, and gather on. Beautiful dock for swimming off of, including a diving board - bring your floaties and water shoes!
Our family will be coming here for many years to come.
Can't wait for next year!

Overall a good experience for our small family reunion.

The cabins are more updated than last year and the property is super kid friendly.

Some minor hiccups with the gas BBQ's not working very well. The bbqs need a good cleaning and the grease trays should be present as it was messy. Given that you have to pay extra for them, perhaps the quality should be increased. Lots of room for improvement there. Add a gauge to monitor the tank gas level and avoid the hassel of the customer having to find another tank to finish dinner. A good deep pressure wash cleaning might help them maintain pressure and heat more evenly. Very hard to cook for a large crowd because a 15 minute prep time turned into a 60 minute cook off with varying degrees of success for different meats. If the weather had been colder and windy it would have been a lot more frustrating. Add to this that the person switching the tanks stated he was supposed to be out hunting and this was putting him behind. He was not happy apparently.

The kayaks and paddle boards were ok but very, very dirty, with pealing pads, missing plugs.
They had to be cleaned off before using them which can be frustrating when you just want to get on the water. Again, a pressure washer would help immensely with that issue.

Same outdoor toys as last year many should be thrown out as they actually were more of a hazard than usable toy with the Littles. A good cleaning with that pressure washer would clean the good ones up nicely.

Sunrises are lovely on Stoko from the property. A great Eastern view. A bit windy at night.

As for swimming be aware the lake bottom is super muddy and doesn't smell great. Has a lot of little mussels as well so a good pair of water shoes are a good idea. Rinse your clothes very well or they will stink. The water is rather gritty.

Decent amount of kid friendly swimming toys which are well anchored and a lot of fun even for adults.

Over all a great work in.progress. Some of the property buildings need significant repair and make you worry if kids are runing around them but that is more an infrastructure issue for the business. As noted the cabins were decent. Still.lots to be done to make it a true diamond from the rough but the potential is great and the memories are facebook worthy.

a fantastic family vacation spot - the cottages were clean and had everything we needed. Charcoal BBQ and fire pit outside each cabin. Beautiful beach front for the kids to play. Joanna and Gerry were very kind hosts always available for anything we needed help with. I highly recommend we will be back next summer ☀️

Our family just stayed here for a week and had such a fantastic time. The sandy beach is perfect for young kids, the large playground is good for kids of all ages with so many toys available for the campers use.

Some of the cottages are still a bit rustic but still comfortable and clean.

Lots of great activities here or nearby. The owners were always checking with us to see how we were doing and letting us know about stuff nearby that we could check out.

Hello just wanted to thank Joanna and Gerry for letting us enjoy cabin 10. My family and in-laws stayed for a week. It was a beautiful place to stay. Quiet with a beautiful view of Lake Stoco. There was lots to do whether you're fishing, relaxing, swimming or with the kids at the playground. ATV trails close by. Lots of stuff close by if you need something. The cabin itself was clean with comfy beds. I brought my boat they have a really nice dock where you feel safe leaving it. Also can launch the boat rite there or a free public launch close by. Overall it was a great place to visit and Joanna and Gerry are very friendly would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice family get away. Thanks again 😁

This place was a great choice for a family with kids! Our 9 year old had a blast jumping off the dock and going down the slide and our 3 year old loved the playground and beach toys available. It was nice that they have toy boxes on beach and playground as we had no room in our Jeep for extras to bring! Our cottage was older but it was clean and comfortable with satellite and wifi. The owners make sure everyone is comfortable and you feel safe around the resort like you are at home. Husband went fishing using boat rental and managed to get a Muskie so he gives a thumbs up! Dock was great for little ones to snag some small fish hanging out. Great experience

The owners are very friendly,helpful and keep each and every cottage in tip top shape!! It a great location with a great beach!! Kid friendly,wheelchair friendly and is just an all around great place to spend your vacation.Even met some awesome neighbors 😀
