Ruelo is a must-visit for dessert lovers! Their holiday-themed mini cakes are not only beautifully designed but also taste amazing. This year’s Christmas special cakes are especially adorable, and the kids were absolutely delighted just seeing the cute designs. The staff provided excellent service, being patient and attentive, which added to the warm festive atmosphere. Definitely a place worth returning to!

I have purchased cakes from Ruelo quite a few times in the past, regarding their cakes as the prettiest and yummiest in town. However, their quality has been declining drastically recently. I noticed that first on New Year’s Day this year when I ordered their “Blossom” cake. It was not as pretty as the same one I ordered about half a year ago. On March 9, I placed an order to them again for a coconut & mango flavoured cake for a friend’s birthday. When I went to pick up the cake the next day, I found their cake became even worse! It didn’t look like a professionally made cake at all. I should say maybe a cake from a supermarket would be better than this one! Extremely disappointed!

I would've given 5, but today it's a 2. I have always loved their cakes. This cake was delicious. However, what upsetted me was there was nowhere on their website that indicted there is nuts in this cake. I have seen other cakes with allergy alerts, but not this one. Two of my children are allergic to nuts. I even called the next day to confirm. the answer was yes, there are nuts. someone was supposed to reach out to me. NO ONE DID. I love to support this business, but their customers' service seems to be lacking these days.

I purchased a cake from Ruelo for a birthday and my experience was excellent! Everyone found the cake itself to be delicious and well made -- no complaints there! The online ordering and in-person pick up were quick and efficient. Ruelo cakes are definitely more on the expensive side, but I think the quality justifies the cost. It's just a matter of whether or not you're willing to pay extra for that extra quality!

To my Asian friends: they are not the very sweet kind of cake but rather a balanced flavor of dark chocolate, hazelnut crèmeux, and mango compote.

I’m quite sad to give this review b/c I use to buy from this place all the time and would recommend it to my family and friends.
Today my husband bought me a slice of green tea red bean cake and I was shocked when I opened the box. The cake has shrunk to almost the size of a kiwi fruit (see pic) and cost $10:50 + tax per pc! Seriously, I understand there’s inflation and I don’t mind paying more, but not when I have to pay more and get less of the product.
