VERY strict in their "rules" and I am not sure they abide by the Sale of Goods Act, but you get what you pay for and the prices can be incredibly cheap with this auction. As long as you can get there on time and pick up what you bid on you're ok - otherwise avoid at all costs. If the item is large or heavy they will not help you (without an extra cost). If you can't pick up at the time, they charge you an abandonment fee etc. Just be careful 🙂 (Also see the attitude of company below so you know the folks you'll be dealing with ;))

I would like to give my experience with this auction. As a seller I asked how long to sell my belongings in my house They told me one week. Well that was a half truth. They did one auction in one week not mentioning it would be more than one. The game they play is that each time they do an auction they charge you around $500 plus 40%, so that works out to 50% commission on around $3000. Then I never heard from them for a month because they only listed about 180 items. I was only after I left a message saying that if I didn't hear from them I would find someone else I when they responded to me. The second auction was just as bad if not worse. I regret having hired them again. I had more people coming inside my house this time unlike the first time. Also I had an issue with 2 barbecue propane tanks. One mysteriously disappeared while the auction people were conducting the auction. The second one of the employees takes the tank saying her husband bought the barbecue in the first auction. The thing is there was no mention of the propane tank being listed with the barbecue and they never picked up the barbecue. In my opinion this was a scam. Then they took several of my items for the purpose of getting evaluated which I regret doing. It took three weeks to get my stuff back! Then after the auction they left a mess in my backyard and driveway, leaving several boxes in my house and markers, pens, tape, paper, and boxes outside. When I told an employee about it she said they would be back to clean it up. That was 2 months ago! Would not recommend this company at all.

Can't say enough about Cassy and her team! My friend used their services last summer. They were professional and accommodating. Itemized lists were provided and auction items were picked up in a timely fashion.
As a repeat customer, I have been pleased with my purchases and
friendly service when picking up my items. Highly recommended!

Don't waste your money buying anything from these people. 1st of all, many of the descriptions of items are misleading and it is overpriced, uncleaned junk.
Secondly, and most importantly, do not buy electronics. I bought a large TV for $100 that said it worked, but no remote. As soon as I brought it home I plugged it in to discover it had nothing but a black screen. I called and asked if I could bring it back, if they could look at it and see that it was nothing I did. I was told by text to get it fixed, and they promptly erased the TV posting on their site (that described the TV as working condition). She tried to make it seem like it was my fault!
Customer service is worse than 1 star, I would give it 0.
The owner avoids phone calls once she has your money or business, only texts, then gaslights you if you have a complaint. Just reading her replies to complaints on here is evidence enough .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY… So first, I want to say that this company comes off as if they are helping you, they are doing anything but. They are taking advantage of people who are grieving the loss of a loved one. On top of paying $600 for an auction plus 40% of the profits, they take from you. Yes, we made some money from the auctions; however, the company is anything but honest. They tell you they are donating things left over from the auction, not taking the stuff that wasn’t auctioned.
After the auctions were done things were missing that should have never been taken.
1. They took the living room curtains and curtain rods (they didn’t auction them, one of their employees decided just to take them home off the wall and left the room bare…. Only took the living room ones they liked them; all the other curtains in the house were left.
2. They took all the beer and drinks out of the fridge and freezer (not sure who was buying these)
3. They took all my cleaning supplies even though they were on a list of items to leave with the house. Oh and the curtains and rods were on this list too.
4. We had a pressure washer in the garage; we thought this would have been auctioned however, it was not, it was taken by a staff member of theirs. We had other things in the house that were not auctioned off but just taken.
I know these items seem small however what else did they take?
I messaged Cassie the day after the auction to find out where our items were. She answered the next day saying her staff just take things home after the auction. “Most of the time we are allowed to take whatever is left to help clean out the house so yes the staff did take things home”. These items were never auctioned, nor had any intention to be they were simply taken from the house by Cassie and or her employees. In addition to this, we do not even know if they actually even auctioned everything that was there to auction as the owner of the house has passed, and we did not take a full inventory (shame on us)
Although these items seem small, however what else did they take?
We have since received back the drinks, the pressure washer and some of my cleaning supplies. We are not even sure it is the same pressure washer. The one the staff member dropped off is missing parts. I’ve messaged multiple times for the curtains and rods with no answer. Other than the first one when I was told they can take what they want after and one of her employees has them at home.

Use extreme caution if you decide to ever use this company. They are not what they seem. If you choose to use them, make sure you have pictures and documentation of all the items they are going to auction for you. In addition, I would never ever leave this company with full access to my house again.

The fridge was not cleaned out, rotting food was left as we had not been in the house to clean it as you were there. Your staff or yourself left the rotting food, but somehow managed to take the drinks that were left.
We also filled out a list of items not to touch, green tap or not. On the list was all cleaning supplies and curtains and rods. I'm not up for arguing with you.. I just hope people read the reviews and know you are not an honest person, and your staff just take what they like with them.

This is not a fake profile, I was working with Jennifer Smith the entire time for the Estate sale. This is my review and experience with Estate Sales Niagara. They are trying to delete our reviews. Do not use Estate Sales Niagara!! They have taken from two of my friends, who shared very similar experiences. They make enough money with $600 an auction plus 40% of sales and another 15% for auction fees (and GST on the items, but I am assuming they don’t take that) that they should not have to TAKE items. There are certain items that I was waiting for to be auctioned (I did not want to take them from the grieving partner) and they were not even cataloged in the auction. I looked for them and we did not take them. The staff must have taken them. They even admitted that let their staff take items, however, they said “items that were left behind”, instead, I know, for a fact that they didn’t even catalog quality items and just took them. This includes a set of curtains that were written in the contract not to be taken. Again, there were several items that I was looking for that we’re not cataloged, I cannot imagine what else they took that I didn’t even know about. It was a large estate. We did not take pictures of everything that was there. We figured they would be honest. Our bad. They even stole the booze out of the fridge and freezer, and her explanation in the reply to my friend’s review was that they cleaned out the fridge. They did not clean out the fridge. All of the old food was left behind AND ONLY the booze was taken. They also said it had to be green taped in order not to be taken, they took the cleaning supplies and front curtains!!! We have to sell the house, we didn’t think we’d have to green tape the cleaning supplies. That being said, it was also in the contract not to take the cleaning supplies or curtains. After several text messages, the cleaning supplies were returned and some of the booze, however, the booze was left outside to spoil. The curtains and rods were never returned. A power washer, which would’ve gone very well in an auction, was just taken and not catalogued , it too was returned after complaints, however, pieces were missing, and I’m not even sure if it was the original power washer, this I cannot prove. My other friends, who used them years ago, saw, who was running the auction after picking up an item from this auction. They had similar experiences and she and her husband were furious. She was so angry when saw the organizer and figured that they must have changed their auction name since she used them. My suggestion to you, do not use this business. Read other reviews. There are many five star reviews, but there are MANY one star reviews. as well, READ the one stars. They are people like us who have discovered what they’ve done. When people are grieving, they need help, they should not be taken advantage of.

Thanks to Estate Sales Niagara for the exemplary service we received! Warren and Cassy did an amazing job, helping us to clear the contents of our fathers house after his passing (Dad was something of a hoarder). We appreciated their honesty and candor throughout the process. They kept us informed and updated at each stage, and were flexible and accommodating throughout. We also used their services for the final clearing of the house after sales finished, and they did an incredible job, at a very reasonable cost, working within a very tight timeline.

We would highly recommend them to anyone needing help with the burden of clearing house contents. They are a truly professional, knowledgeable, and caring team!
