BEWARE! Horrible customer service! They violate their own return policy and abuse VISA rules if you dare to dispute. My husband ordered a set of cutlery for the new year, it arrived a week late. Returned via their own shipping label to the Yorkdale store. Williams Sonoma fraudulently refusing to refund for 2.5 months now, claiming they have not received the return, although the tracking clearly shows the delivery confirmation. We're disputing with our bank and ready to sue with small claims if need be. It's now a matter of principal. Never order anything of value from this store, they masquerade as upscale, but you will hard time getting your money back if you want to return ANYTHING!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Raz over the phone. I called to explain that I couldn’t come in to make an exchange due to health reasons, but instead of offering any understanding or assistance, he repeatedly told me that the system no longer allows changes. His tone was dismissive, and he made it clear that he was too busy to continue the conversation. The way he handled the situation was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If this is how customers are treated, then proper training is definitely needed. I expected better service and basic courtesy, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.

They are overpriced. Compare any of their items to any competitor. You'll find a 5-10% difference.

Their stock is abysmal. Don't worry you can get your product shipped to their store for pickup. At a $15 cost. To pickup at THEIR store. Want it shipped? $25. Oh, you spent $200, you get free shipping right? NOPE. William Sonoma doesn't give a F. Pay the shipping.

They don't respect the customer, they don't value your business. They blatantly rip you off. Just take your business ANYWHERE else. Support a local business. Hell, buy it from Amazon - free AND 2-day shipping.

First time experience buying from Williams Sonoma was deeply disappointing. I ordered a Le Creuset on clearance online on November 30, 2024 as a Christmas gift. Estimated delivery was December 9-10. I later received notice that the item was backordered and expected to arrive January 10-13, 2025. This was annoying but due to the clearance price, I decided to not cancel the order and wait. On January 9, 2025 I receive an email stating the item is no longer available and cannot be fulfilled. Order was cancelled. So I wasted 6 weeks waiting for an item to never arrive and now I can't buy any of the other items at that same price point. Will never order from this store/company again unless this gets resolved.

We tried their knife sharpening service. We figured that it would be safe since they sell the Japanese knives that we were trying to get sharpened and should know what they are doing. We regret it so much. It was $5 tax included per knife. They make you sign a waiver that they are not responsible if they ruin your knives which should have been a huge red flag. You can tell that they just fed the knife through a machine because it was all scratched up and it wasn’t even that sharp. We later took the knives to a professional shop that sharpened Japanese knives and it was honestly night and day. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

impossible getting a hold of them because they never pick up the phone. I live quite far away and this location is the closest to my home. Before driving 1-2 hours in traffic I would love to have the opportunity to even ask if they have specific products in stock/in store. Called several times over the course of the past week and never got thru to anyone even once - very unfortunate.

Very bad service at William Sonoma, for membership we have 5% on top of sale price, but this location the manager refused to give the additional discount. With a very bad attitude, saying it additional discount is not for sale item. We came back and checked through the emails and found he was lying. And we paid extra price. In addition to the extra price we paid we are very not happy with his attitude. He shouldn’t be a manager at all. No manner.

I can’t even explain how much I love this store. They have amazing household items. The quality is superb and the level of customer service is exquisite.

Such a beautiful store and while the items are not inexpensive; it is well worth the price tag when you consider the quality of the products in this store.

The employees here are lovely and so very helpful. Love shopping here!
