I recently took a beginner sewing class here. I wished it was a little more beginner, I didn't feel we had enough time or basic knowledge before getting into the project. It felt like more of a refresher class for folks with some sewing knowledge. A smaller project (dog bandanas, coasters, etc) for me, would have made me feel like I could keep up and still learn the basics. We all had such different levels of knowledge, that big chunks of the class were spent waiting for the teacher to come around again to help. I was dissapointed at how expensive everything was as well, I thought it was bizarre to have to have all the tools upfront before starting the class. I wasn't sure I would even enjoy sewing so why need to buy all the tools and pattern? To make it truly beginner friendly, it would be as asset to be able to try the block of classes but be able to borrow all the tools and pattern. We had some laughs and at the end of the day I did learn some basics, however, just providing some feedback that might make this class more beginner friendly for future students.

fantastic quilt shop and the owner and staff are fantastic! found lots of fabric I couldn't live without! also an Anne Of Green Gables applique kit which will give me something to do when I get back home. a definitely must visit if you're in the area.

Such a lovely little shop with great end of season sales on fat quarters! Tons of quilting patterns are available in the shop, and lots of cute notions as well. I will definitely visit again next time I'm on the island!
