Return policy without a receipt is antiquated. Giving store credit at the lowest possible listed price left a sour taste in my mouth. Why I would choose Home Depot instead

Had what I needed but the service was not great. I went in looking for a generator - they were able to point me to the one I was looking for but that is it. 4 Employees watched as another kind shopper walked me through everything. If i didn't want the scene points I would have left and gone to canadian tire or home depot the service was that bad.

You can not walk through this store without being greeted by all the staff members! A truly friendly place. I would come here for any advice on home maintenance and repair topics that I am unfamiliar with, the staff seem very knowledgeable and confident.
This is also my favourite place to buy Christmas decor and lights! They have great prices for lights especially.

The employee who helped me was sk kind and friendly. I had a rain check and she found the items for me with no problem. She could see I was having trouble walking and was in pain do she did whatever she could do to make my shopping experience better. I wish I knew her name because she was very kind to me before when I had shopped there. Occasionally you will get an employee working there who is rude or completely clueless about what you need but usually they are very good. I went in a few weeks ago asking for a certain tap adapter. An employee from another department knew what exactly what I was talking about but said the guy from that department can help you find everything you need. Well he was wrong. I explained it several times to this guy and he was clueless. I finally found something that I thought might be what I needed and showed it to him and explained again why I needed that or something like that and he still didn't understand. I was going to get the part that I found until I seen the price. I said I will have to check somewheres else to see if I can get it cheaper. I went to a plumbing shop the next day and got what I needed for cheaper. Normally you pay less for something at a hardware store than a plumbing shop especially since it was just a tap adapter I needed. Home Hardware is usually pretty good at having employees that are polite and knue the products they have and can understand what you are looking for but that day I got the employee who doesn't know his department or products and I know he has worked there for awhile now.
