10/10 poor experience. I took a car I just bought to get inspected. It’s from outta province. It was recently inspected across. I was told I would need to replace my windshield which is fair because there is a quarter size chip in the front passenger side, granted the chip is filled in good and not webbing at all so if they were a decent local mechanic most would probably let it go. But after they explain the windshield over the phone they start telling me about a hole in my exhaust and a gasket being gone in it. This car makes no noise at all driving down the rd mind you. When I get there and ask how big the hole is they say “ oh there’s no hole, there just some rust on bare metal of the exhaust”. Well then what’s the problem can’t let somthing so little like that go? If I had to replace my pipe everytime there was rust on it Id be broke. They quoted me 1500 dollars to replace the whole system when just the cat I was told was a little rusty. So why would I need a quote of 1500$ for a whole system? You tell me. Moral of the story place just wants to run you for your money I’d try to avoid it. Edit- If they say the stick to provincial regulations that’s clearly a lie. There employees drive around with tint. I drive the car everyday it makes no noise. If it did I would want it fixed. She’s rusty yes but but she’s solid

We had our RV fixed here. There was an electrical fire and they repaired the wires. They did the repairs well. Their work was good, but they also dallied. Based on photos sent to other mechanics, others said it would take 5 hours to complete but the RV was in the shop for 2 full days, which was unfortunate when it came to it also being our home, kind of leaving us stranded. I just feel like they might have been able to do more in the situation and it wasn’t handled as professionally as it should have been. They were also pretty expensive compared to other garages in the area. Other garages were backed up and they fit us in relatively quickly, but also we felt like to them our time didn’t matter but theirs did. They kept us waiting for an entire day, they said they would get to us that morning probably around 10 and only got to us 10 minutes before the shop closed. Not a great experience, not a bad one.

10/10 service, I had to get a driveshaft and the boys got me in very quickly . My warranty was from a third party and we all believed it would be very simple to process the payment but we were wrong ! After many phone calls and time , the payment was finally sent to the shop. Highly recommend this shop and the effort made to help me out. Also, for anyone inquiring about the third party warranty, SecureDrive , they suck and get another company for warranty!

Towed my camper to Twin Shores and my rear axle is slightly bent...noticed some inner tire wear on a trailer tire. I brought in the tire/rim. They dismounted and flipped the tire for me so I can get home worry free. I didn't have an appointment, it was done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Thanks!

Also got a full synthetic oil and filter change done for my drive back to Manitoba. All went well! Prices better than a dealership oil change!

After losing a tire on our travel trailer on our trip from Ontario out east, H&S was able to fix our travel trailer’s valve stem and get us back on the road. They helped us on a weekend which kept our travel plans on schedule. Highly recommended this place.

Don't come here got charged 272 for them to look at my car for less then an hour then be told they need approval for 3 more hours of diagnostic work. Then when I came to pick up my car with a trailer I asked for some help to push it on the trailer as I was alone I got told good luck and was given the number of a tow truck company

We experienced flip sides of the coin in a new interaction with this establishment.

They were available, polite and fair with pricing on the couple of basic tightening and cleaning-ups performed.

Some basic checks do not seem to be in place when requesting road readiness and multi-point inspection ... or just the basic routine checks performed by many garages when bringing a car in.

If you do not recheck essentials yourself and check your bill against your request, you may find that some requested points were not covered, even if receiving confirmation of work when booking, on drop-off and pickup.

Because I am not a mechanic, we drop our vehicles off for checks, seasonally, before major trips and with any issue.
Here, I found that they performed a one specific quick task mentioned but did not do basic road readiness and multi-point check requested. I thought that I was clear. I asked at booking and at drop off. I asked on pick-up if the vehicle was road ready for a long trip. I got a consistent affirmative, but found that checks were not on the bill and actions not performed. Which can cause issue, if you do not catch it and the need to book again (possibly elsewhere) with added wait time.

I have not experienced this with other Charlottetown area providers, dealership or franchise mechanics and have not really run into gaps in work completion/communication in twenty years or so (although, I have experienced some issue with finding a reliable and thorough garage prior to that). If you have a single point check/task, it'll likely be done to your satisfaction. If you want a multi-point basic diagnostic, maybe not.. (maybe like a one item per visit doctor office.)
