Nothing but positive things to say about Hearth & Ember.  They were friendly, professional and efficient.  We purchased a standalone propane woodstove and they removed the old fireplace and an old propane heater.  Up front during the sales process they answered all our questions and worked with us to meet our renovation schedule.  After the install they followed up to ensure we were happy and came back to make a small adjustment to ensure we were 100% satisfied.

I had multiple people do work on this house, and none were like these guys.
They showed up on time, worked non-stop, and even cleaned up after themselves. In fact, they left the place cleaner than it was before.
Definitely the best experience with a work crew on PEI thus far.

They milk you for all they can. Our gas fireplace was not working so we called for a technician to come out. They were unable to find the problem but invoiced us, including charging us a $40 "consumables" charge. All they did was clean our glass. When they came out again they found the problem and re-invoiced us all over again. In addition, they quoted us $600+ for parts that I subsequently found online for under $250. Find another service provider PEI.

Installation team was great .After purchase not so good . Had issues with fireplace and left 3 messages on their phone . Also sent 2 emails detailing the issue with audio recordings ,that was a couple of years ago .Finally had to get another company that sells and services propane fire places to look into the issues .

I called Hearth and Ember to have someone come and install a wood stove for me. I was told someone would call me in 2 weeks to set up an appointment. After 3 weeks of waiting with no call, I called them back! I was told again that someone would call me within the week to set up an appointment. It’s now 3 months later and I’ve still not received a call. I’ve since found another company (Red Clay Construction) who came when they said and did an amazing job installing my stove and chimney. I would not recommend Hearth and Ember to anyone. This is not how you run a business or treat people. When you say you’re going to do something….Do IT!

Can’t say enough about the great team at Hearth and Ember I have purchased my propane fireplace as well as got them to do all of our propane lines at our house. The service was top notch and all the team members courteous and knowledgeable. Project was finished on time and on budget.

Our pellet stove was diagnosed pre-pandemic & they received the replacement part to fix it in August 2020. We're still waiting for them to show up & fix it a year later!! On the dozen or more times we contacted them by phone, text, or email, we have always been told "Two weeks, you're penciled in." The problem is you always seem to get erased!!! We had left at least 6 phone messages as well & no one ever got back to us. The guy running the storefront must be a relative of the owners because he sure isn't doing much for their customer relations. Save yourself a lot of wasted time, disappointment & frustration with the non-communication policy these guys are really good at. Go to a professionally run company. October 2021: Just noticed these guys are advertising as new owners, new name. But these are the guys we're still waiting on, to even contact us, about coming back to finish the job.

We originally bought our pellet stove from the old owners of the this store. We have had problem after problem with it and nothing but problems getting anyone to come out and service it. Just lately with the new owners our pellet stove is broken again it broke September 2021, 10 months later it is still not fixed. We keep calling and they say the part is in and we are at the top of the list, we have been told this for about 3 months now. Please people think very hard before your deal with this company as they do not have very good customer service. I have never written a review on any business this is the first time because I am so angry and disappointed with this business. We are looking at the fall in the next few months and I’m thinking our pellet stove will still not be working. I am also wondering if it has anything to do with our Ontario accents!
