Always enjoy shopping here. Whether it is for paint. Nuts and bolts or for scarfs and gloves. I have bought the most beautiful scarfs and gloves at this store.

Karen in the paint department is very knowledgeable and friendly. The rest of the staff that I have come in contact with are also very friendly and helpful. Their prices seem to be very competitive some things a little higher on price other things a little lower on price right in between

The paint section was crazy busy. Karen was so calm and quick to help people she even suggested another store for something I couldn’t get here. Staff seemed to work together well good quality paint. AGAIN PEI people are soooooo nice!

This store has some of the most experienced, knowledgeable and helpful staff you could ever imagine to find in a building supply store. One time the fella at the plumbing counter called in to a contact he had at Emco to hook me up with a free toilet part to replace the one I had inadvertently broken. David Pearce helped me design a playhouse for my daughters four years ago, and supported me throughout the project. Every time he’s helped me with something since I feel like I have some kind of hardware store VIP pass. Thanks for being an excellent PEI business Callbecks!

My past experience with this place was terrible. This was 4 years ago. Now, 4 years later, I have an update.

Update: I have recently purchased an item from them. They had to order one. The sale was over, and they honored the price anyway. My experience this time was a lot better than past experience with them. Hopefully, it's not an isolated incident. They were very helpful and friendly.

This is a really hard post as it has nothing to do with the store itself it has to do with corporate and callbecks was caught in the corporate bulls$%#

Lets start by saying I have purchased many high priced items from this location and have no issues with callbecks but i went onto callbecks website for a lawnmower found the one I wanted to purchase and proceeded to the checkout to purchase and I get confirmation from corporate stating they would email me and it would take 2-7 days

After a day or two I get a email stating that the lawnmower I picked was discontinued and that they wouldn't be able to fill the order so immediately I went back on to the website to check availability for the lawnmower I had chosen and they still had one on stock and now it is going to take 30 days to get my money back and apparently the lawnmower I want is still on the shelf

If this is how Home Hardware treats customers I'm not sure if I can stomach shopping in a home Hardware

This was long over due. I bought a fridge here. The best experience even. Ok, I wake up on a Wednesday morning and my fridge was leaking and I don't know what to do because I'm leaving for Europe on the following Saturday. I needed a fridge now. I went to a few stores in Charlottetown and Summerside and didn't get the attention that I needed. I went to Callbacks and I got the attention that my wife and I felt comfortable. We made the deal but then they couldn't deliver by Friday of that week. So the deal fell through. My wife and I hopped and went to eat somewhere in Summerside. Literally, 20 minutes into our meal, we got a call from Callbacks that they moved some stuff around and could make the Friday delivery.. Amazing, but I have saved the best for last. They convinced me to buy the warranty, I hate that sale of warranty, it's a pressure sale on "what if's" and the potential problems.. just hate that part of the deal. But Callbacks told me if I buy the warranty and I don't use it in its prescribe time, that they will put it towards store credit. Now that is totally worth it. That's a deal. I don't know if they do that everytime. Or a special offer but totally worth, it's been over 6 months with my fridge and I love it... That's my experience.
