This is a great place to eat breakfast. Very traditional diner style experience and the selection is really great. Not sure what the folks who complain are complaining about. They have decent coffee (check), they came by and refilled all the time, toast was toast, eggs were eggs and the pancakes were huge! It is the best home cooked breakfast in town.

This is our first time here as we are on holidays travelling through. We both ordered the 2 eggs which came with bacon and my husband had the ham. I selected the cube potatoes which were fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband had the hash browns again which were fresh potatoes and they also were delicious. I did find that the coffee was a bit weak. Also the noise level was quite high . Our server was very good and attentive.

While passing through Oliver recently I stopped in for breakfast with my parents.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was SO good!
I know what I like and I can be a bit of an Eggs Benny snob so when I order one from somewhere I’ve never been, I do so with “managed expectations”.
This eggs Benny was really really good. The hollandaise was flavorful and just the right amount of tart, my eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crisp but not too crisp, and the English muffin tasted fresh.
My parents enjoyed their meals as well.
Our server was super friendly and very prompt.

Why oh why do I return to this place, hoping for a better experience? Glutton for punishment. Every time I've been here, I've had issues. You will not be allowed to substitute for anything on the menu. (The breakfast sausage is terrible! I dont care what anyone else says. To me, they're gross.) So you have to deal with what you get. I like the big breakfast, but I don't want the sausage. I'd like to add more ham or bacon instead. Nope. The place wasn't very busy when we arrived, so I don't see why there would be an issue with a substitution. Zero customer relations. I ordered bacon and scrambled eggs, no sides. My date got eggs Benedict. At least the food was OK, but how can a cook screw up bacon and eggs?

I've seen the owner's snide remarks to anyone who posts a negative review instead of being kind... They lash out or insult the reviewer instead of taking any responsibility or trying to fix the issue. Very poor business practice.

The place is so outdated and old looking. The staff seemed tired and subpar (though one younger girl was superb), and there's one lady walking around trying to look important (I assume the owner) but not really contributing to anything other than chatting up the old folks who were obviously regulars.

I waited the entire meal to get a refill of water for my tea and gave up.

Just don't. Go to Smitty's in Osoyoos. At least there, you can get what you want.

It was a busy morning (around 10am. On a Saturday). I waited about 5 minutes to be sat. No big deal. Took 35-40ish minutes to get my food after ordering. Waitress was friendly, kept my cup filled. Here is my only complaint. I kinda felt rushed once the staff realized I was near finished eating. I had planned on getting a milkshake but didn’t realize I couldn’t take it with me. So I ordered a milkshake and sat at my table and drank it. I get that it’s busy, but I’m also a paying customer too. I was alone, so I wasn’t chitchatting. Would to not be so rushed during next visit

One of my favourite haunts for a quick, affordable and somehow still phenomenal breakfast.

Although my visits are usually first thing in the morning, even the times I've been in the afternoon during peak hours I've felt right at home. The service strikes a great balance between professional and personal. I'm consistently impressed.

I ordered the Texas BBQ burger for pickup. It was a lunch special, boy was it special! Best burger I have had in a long while, enough really great fries for at least 3 people! Matt & Jennifer have a fantastic restaurant, hats off to them both & ALL their staff. If you haven’t eaten here, what’s stopping you!!

I walked into this place, starving. I was seated right away, and my order was taken promptly. My food came out relatively quickly, which I was happy about because, did I mention I was starving?

The waiter. Apologize because there was hollandaise sauce on my potatoes I chuckled. Everything was delicious.
