Mixed Culture Beer Shop continues to innovate and select extraordinary items for its patrons to discover. This single malt whiskey from Belgium is just one of those items. As a HUGE fan of single malts I was curious to give it a try and was not disappointed, it was delicious, well structured and smooth as silk. Does the Georgian Crystal high ball glass, heighten the experience? You bet! Close to downtown Canmore but quietly unassuming you can duck in and out quickly if need be, or get enveloped by the numerous offerings of beer, natural wines, spirits, cocktails… You owe it to yourself to check it out the next time you are there!

We stumbled across this place on out on our way back to our car, and I am so happy we did. Such a great selection of beers and wines that are clearly hand picked with lots of thought behind each bottle/can. Found many craft beers that we had not heard of before and we drink a lot of beer. We definitely did not leave empty handed. They also look to have growler fills and tasting area of beers on tap which I will have to try next time. Visually it is stunning inside and easy to navigate. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. I’m definitely going to add this place to our must stops every time we visit Canmore.

Fantastic selection of unique beers, wines, and spirits! After walking by several times on my way home, I finally decided to stop in—and I’m so glad I did. A big thanks to Erik for the excellent recommendations and great conversation. His knowledge, especially about local beers, is impressive. He introduced me to a local brewery from Diamond Valley, and their beer was absolutely incredible. Thanks again, Erik—I’ll definitely be back!

An impressive selection of the best quality beer you can find in a nice, small & well laid out space.
I was able to find a good selection of local (AB) darks (the only one I have found elsewhere is the one brewed across the street).
I wanted to stay longer & try the nice selection on tap (for fills) but had limited time & carry space. 🚶🏼
I will definitely be coming back!

The best selection of wine in the Bow Valley! This is my go-to for all my favorites, and the staff is always helpful when I'm looking to try any of their numerous new additions. They also have beer, gluten free beer, ciders, and spirits. Always enjoy my visits at the shop!

If you are a local or a tourist, you need to stop in at Mixed Culture and see Joe! He has an absolutely amazing selection of unique beers and wines. The store has such a cool vibe and Joe is so welcoming the service is always amazing! Support local & support Joe there’s nobody better out there doing what he does!!
