I came here yesterday, spent about $40 on Christmas decorations. Everything is pretty over priced here so I took my time to find things within my budget.
When I go to pay for my items, the worker Nancy takes a $3 Christmas tree skirt and tells me the price is wrong. I said that’s not fair to change the price once I’m already about to pay for it. She says “somebody changed the sticker price.”

So basically, if they think an item is priced too low they will change their mind last minute on the price AND accuse you of changing the sticker. Greedy.

Reading through some other reviews it seems this is a common practice of theirs. I’ve donated to this store many times but never again!!! Shady business

I would really love to shop here because I prefer to purchase second-hand, but basically every time I am looking for something, it’s priced substantially higher than buying new. Standard household items like a coffee press or soap dispenser are often more expensive than equivalent versions down the street at Canadian Tire. The clothes are exorbitantly expensive for a thrift store.

They also seem to price higher-end items by comparing to listings for similar items on E-Bay, without considering that the EBay list price is a starting point (not a final sales price) and that EBay is a global market.

It’s a shame, because Canmore could really use a reasonable thrift store, but this ain’t it.

This spot has lost its way. Items used to be reasonably priced but they’ve turned very greedy. Books priced $60-80 that were donated. $200 used gear. $70 flower vases. I will not be dropping donations anymore.

Way overpriced. Some items cost an unreasonable amount. For certain products, it would make more sense to purchase new items rather than buy donated ones at prices that are almost the same as new. This was a pretty good store before, but unfortunately not anymore.

extremely disappointed. This place calls itself a thrift store, but the prices are anything but thrifty. insane prices!! i only ended up getting this beautiful $3 necklace and a few books my partner had picked up. it’s just too bad

Nice store but criminal pricing, walked out when I picked up a skirt listed at $38 dollars. I will refuse to donate here, not an opportunity store, just a reseller. Stick to marketplace or Rundle United.

They have had a GoPro knockoff on sale for around 5 years, for around $200. It's from the mid 2000's, it wasn't worth that when it came out.

This is a great snapshot of their pricing. Want to buy a hard drive that has been used as a baseball, with connectors that no computer from the past 20 years has? Hope you like paying as much as a brand new one.

And their music is straight out of Guantanamo Bay. Every time I walk around I feel like going up to the counter and telling them whatever sort of sensitive data they want to know, as it feels like I'm being tortured for information.

They get their stuff for free and then charge an arm and a leg for it. Meanwhile in Squamish, their thrift store funds the local women's shelter, is on main street in a prime real estate location and charges .... $2 for a book. Clearly, someone is making money here and it certainly isn't the people who need it the most.

Seeing other reviews I can see we aren’t the only ones to think this thrift store has unreasonable prices. Their clothes are way overpriced and we got a few small things from the other side
