This was my first visit to Pine Cliff Lodge. My 3 friends and I had a wonderful time enjoying the lodge, fishing and beautiful scenery. The cabins are quaint and clean and the lodge is perfectly situated on the shore of Big Sandy Lake. We all landed trophy bass & pike as well as perch and walleye. The boats are clean, modern and well equipped for fishing! Derek and Kara are wonderful hosts who will go out of their way to ensure that you have a memorable Canadian fishing trip! I highly recommend Pine Cliff Lodge!!

I have been going to Pine Cliff Lodge since 1997. I have enjoyed the continual improvements every time I go and this year was no different. The cabins are rustic but clean and super fun to stay in. The boats we use are awesome, roomy, stable on the water, and I always feel safe. The fishing is off the charts. I think I had 12 patch fish and 2 of those were master angler small mouth bass. Derek and Cara and their boys have taken over ownership and are doing an amazing job keeping the Lodge moving forward. I brought a group of 8 this year and we had an amazing week!! Highly recommend

Fishing and staying at Pine Cliff Lodge was an incredible experience!! Highly recommend 10/10. Owners Derek and Kara Zimmerman were very hospitable and on top of all of the details to make it a great experience.

We caught too many fish to count during our stay. We were mostly interested in catching smallmouth bass and were not disappointed. We caught some monsters!! We caught some great pike as well and had fun catching some yellow perch too. Our cabin and accommodations were excellent!

The people are absolutely amazing to be around! They make you feel more than at home while you’re there they keep everything really nice and if there are issues they have them fixed as fast as possible but they always put there guest at number one priority! The fishing is also amazing and the lake is getting even more amazing each year with all the new species coming along! Would highly recommend booking. We will be going every year the rest of our lives. Also can’t forget about Cody absolute amazing person! So much fun each year just talking to him hearing all of his stories! He did amazing guiding me and my dad also (and I know some 55 year olds like my dad can’t figure out livescope the best 😂) anyways hats off to Cody hard worker around the place then we he gets the chance he’s out fishing and always being helpful and sharing tips and spots!!!

Spent a once-in-a-lifetime week with sons 43, 41, & 37. Caught well over 100 fish, including: several 30”+ pike - one 38”, numbers of really hefty small mouth bass, a few perch, & walleye. Watched eagles hunt & feed a chick in huge nest 300 yards from our Trout cabin. Ate good & slept great. Comfortable cabins. Temperature was ideal. Sons swam & caught crawdads up the creek & near rapids leading to next lake. We fished hard, laughed hard, ate, slept, & repeated again & again. Fishing is available 5am to 9:20pm. Plenty of time to eat, nap, work (laptops, emails, texts, calls, zoom, strategize), & call families back in Texas.. Lake is big but great fishing spots were never far. Derek, Kara, & sons: Rye, Sully, & Tex are wonderful hosts. Pine Cliff Lodge is a little slice of heaven. I thank God & the Zimmermans for the memories.

We have been going to Pine Cliff for approximately 10 years now and just returned from our latest visit. The effort that Derek and Kara have and continue to put into the business is exceptional year to year. The lodging is like being at home, the boats are in great shape and just upgraded with new trolling motors and electronics for 2025. As far as the fishing goes trophy largemouth bass, Pike and Lake trout are abundant. You will also see the family values during your visit as their three son's presence can do nothing but make you smile. They are all avid fishermen and are a pleasure to visit with. If you are looking for a great experience, people, lodging and an abundance of fish then make Pine Cliff Lodge your destination.

I just returned from 5 days of fishing at Pine Cliff Lodge with 3 of my fishing buddies. We had 2 cabins, and both were well outfitted with full kitchens, comfortable beds and great showers. The Zimmermans were great hosts and went the extra mile to assure guests of a great experience. The boats provided were amazing, and the fishing was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Cleanest, most comfortable cabins of any lodge. Period. 20 ft center console boats offer the best fishing platform of any other lodge around. New Lowrance Hook 7 electronics fore and aft. New Minn Kota trolling motors on all the boats, equipped with SpotLock. Helps keep you on the structure. Smallmouth and pike fishing is unparalleled. I did not target this species but saw some nice pics of some 30+ inch lake trout. I was too busy catching smalls. Just go, you will not regret it.
