I got lucky with my new Tacoma, and Gen made it super easy. I never once felt any pressure at Vernon Toyota, and the entire process was slick and transparent. They were flexible on accessories and everything was installed super quick. I've bought many new cars before, but this was the most painless for sure. I was seriously considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and even put down a deposit. But when I couldn’t get a mechanic in until a few days after month-end, I was told flat-out: “We can’t move forward unless you close before the end of the month—we’re behind on sales targets.”

Let me be clear: customers are not responsible for your sales quotas. We’re here to buy a reliable vehicle, not help your team hit a number. What should have been a transparent, professional experience turned into a rushed, pressure-filled transaction that prioritized their bottom line over due diligence and customer confidence.

If a dealership can’t stand behind their vehicles long enough to wait for a basic mechanical inspection, that says everything. I won’t be buying here—and I suggest others think twice before doing so either.

Very Disappointing Experience at Vernon Toyota:

We came in to view a vehicle that, to our surprise, had visible oil issues and the top cover on the motor not installed properly. These issues alone raised serious concerns about the level of inspection and preparation done before showing vehicles to potential buyers. Hoping to find some accountability, we spoke with The General Sales Manager Oliver Orlie directly.
Unfortunately, instead of addressing our concerns, your response only confirmed the dismissiveness we felt throughout the experience. When asked about the oil being low right after an oil change you stated all your vehicles are “always filled between the lines on the dipstick” which is just another blanket dismissal rather than a genuine attempt to address the specific problem we had encountered.
We expected a higher level of professionalism and care – especially from a Toyota dealership. This experience has left us seriously questioning your team’s approach to both vehicle quality and customer service. We hope you take this feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to improve how customers are treated and how vehicles are prepared.
