Big shout out to “Dillon” over at Source for Sports. While Dillon may not be the young man’s real name, it’s a nickname well earned and thus, shall be used for this humble review of mine.
I recently visited this location in search for my first ever brand-new pair of skates. I know, hardly seems possible—being a Canadian adult that has never owned a brand-new pair of skates—but it’s true. And for my 42nd birthday, my lovely wife decided to remedy that oddity, and bought me my first ever set.

Dillon was the knowledgeable young man who assisted me. And right from the moment I walked in, I could not have felt more welcome, nor in more capable hands. His understanding of skates and the intricate technologies held within them was instantly on display as he informed me of what brand and set would suit me best. He took the time to measure my feet, examine my gait, and offer advice.

Dillon worked diligently and convivially throughout our interaction. He even threw in some free stick wax and stick tape for the wife’s mini-human. Thanks Dillon.

Highly recommend this place. Every time I have gone in, I have been treated with tremendous respect and courtesy.

Definitely heading back for any and all my hockey needs.

I had such a great experience at Source for Sports in Vernon! I went in to get a new pair of skates for my six-year-old daughter and was so impressed with the customer service. The staff member who helped us was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which was a lifesaver since I knew nothing about buying skates. I’m so glad we didn’t go to a big box store—there’s no way I would have picked the right size without his expertise. We were in and out in just 20 minutes, with the skates sharpened and ready to go. I left with one very happy little girl!

Brought my goalie skates in for a sharpen during a tournament and everyone who worked there seemed clueless of how to sharpen them got them back and both blades have been ruined and are curved. (Edit) need new blades they told me that they were like that before they sharpened them but I had a game earlier today and played comfortably. After the sharpening I went to push and one skate hasn't even been sharpened it feels duller than before and one is so sharp I am unable to do shuffles or tpushes.
