I had the best experience at MEC today. A very kind customer service woman assisted me while looking at camp rests, and Eric supported me though choosing life jackets for myself and my daughter. He quickly assessed what we needed life jackets for, told me the benefits of specific features and gave his honest opinion. I’m very appreciative of his assistance since life jackets are not cheap, and are SO important for my family’s safety while at the cottage. Thank you for your kindness, honesty and guidance. We purchased 1 lifejacket (ordering another online though MEC for specific size not in stock), the Reactor 10 camp rest pad, and two MEX deluxe camp pillows.

I went to return some climbing shoes as well as buy a different pair, returning was very easy.

At the climbing shoes section, Yumeng was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on different foots shapes for each shoe. She was patient and kind. She cares about customers and engaged with everyone as they needed.

Excellent top quality products and expected prices to match. But this is where we go if we want some serious outdoor equipment and clothing. Really good knowledgeable staff who know what they're talking about and know the products and sport. They've become a little more expensive and upscale since the co-op sold to a US parent. I'm split whether this has been good or bad. The facility has become nicer. TIP: If you can't find it here and are looking for something more basic and less premium and expensive, try Decathlon down the street.

PREVIOUS: Giving this 5 stars, and 6 if I could because of Krystal. She was able to help me out with fixing an obscure bag clip from one of their older models. Nobody from 3 other MEC stores and all the other outdoors stores could help me, but she did! Awesome! Thanks Krystal!

I dropped by the day after Canada Day hoping to snag the last Base Camper Shelter available in-store for an upcoming trip. Steve was the first to assist me and despite his best efforts - with the help of a few other staff members - he couldn’t locate it anywhere in-store. Steve took down my name and number just in case it turned up, though I left a little disappointed.

To my surprise, I got a call the very next morning—turns out they did find it, and had already set it aside for me. I really appreciated the follow-through and care. Excellent customer service from the Burlington MEC team that clearly goes the extra mile. Highly recommend this store!

The people at the store were phenomenal to work with. We are going to be sleeping in the street to raise funds for homeless and sex-trafficked youth for Covenant House so we needed to purchase 3 sleeping bags. We worked with Leanne, Eric and Liam. They were all knowledgable and supportive in helping us find the right sleeping bags. They seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing. It was a pleasure to work with the staff.
