Have used Dr Coates for years.....between my family members and I we have spent thousands on glasses and examination procedures.
Today I went in to have a missing nose piece replaced.....a complimentary service that has been offered as long as I can recall. Today, the particular style of nose piece was not in stock but it could be ordered and would be at my expense....$10 plus gst.
I went into Dr Patels office in the Northumberland mall and booked my next eye exam.....went next door to Pearl Vision where they installed new nose pieces and adjusted another pair of glasses at no charge. This for a first time client.

Eye procedures and subsequent lens and frame purchases are like an annuity for optometrists.....don't give your clients a reason to look elsewhere and they will happily return year over year.
I was given that reason this morning....a seemingly rapacious decision over $10. While your credentials as optometrists are not at question here.....your business acumen seems lacking.

I was recommended to call Jane Coates Optometrist as needed appts for myself and my husband for overdue eye tests and new glasses for each us. I left a voice mail for a call back on Sept 30 and still no response! Very disappointing! How long I wonder could I be waiting for new eyeglasses Have now gone elsewhere.

My past experience has always been very positive. Over the past week, they failed to meet my order for contacts, leaving me to wait 2 weeks in total from start of conversation. Poor response to returning of phone calls. Reception seems to be lacking skills.

Staff is super friendly and extremely easygoing. They are willing to make suggestions and are flexible in receiving guidelines. Very easy to find a new pair of glasses or have an eye exam performed.

Dr. Coates and Dr. Winger have been seeing our family for years. Dr. Winger sees myself and I have nothing but positive and wonderful things to say about her. She takes her time to answer any questions I have. Everyone I have dealt with in the office has been nothing but kind, friendly and proffesional!
