Excellent book shop, bigger than it looks from the outside with newer and special interest books, and an extensive baby book section. Also sells books of local authors. It's easy to make a day of visiting this wonderful book store, then go to Lotus Thai for lunch and hit the Sunshine Bakery just down Hwy 81 a minute or 2.

This is a small owner operated book store that is so well stocked, I can always find what I need. The owner has helped me numerous times to find appropriate gifts. If they don’t have a book, they order for you. The prices are comparable to chain stores but the service far surpasses them

Amazing people and awesome products. They have a ton of high quality products many of which I haven’t seen elsewhere. They also have a great book selection and will happily get you pretty much whatever you’re looking for if it isn’t in stock.

(Based on summer of 2019) I first discovered "Bookmarks the Spot" last summer (2019) upon receiving a gift certificate. I went in and it was the cutest spot! It was FULL of books and other items. I had no idea what I was looking for. Kristen was there and I asked her to help me find something within the genre that I like to read. She immediately gave me multiple recommendations and was able to tell me about the story as soon as she picked up, without reading the blurb on the back. Evidently, she had read them all, so the recommendations were genuine! I also found out that she is able to get (I think) any book to her store as long as you tell her the name and author. It felt so good to support a small business! In addition to that and what made me want to come back was her passion for books, her kindness and the time she spent with me to find me exactly what I was looking for! Thanks, Kristen!!

Flash forward to today (May 2020), I had called Bookmarks the Spot once again, as I wasn't sure if they were opened during these crazy times and yes, they're open!! I told Kristen what I was looking for (something for myself and for my mom for Mother's Day) over the phone and I wasn't sure what I wanted (yet again). Kristen said she would email me some different recommendations, which she did in a very timely manner and I was able to make my decision based on that. She emailed me today saying that my order was in and what my total was. I was very excited that my order would come in on time for Mother's Day. The payment process was very simple and she is arranging a porch pickup whenever it is convenient for me! Once again, super friendly, helpful and amazing service! 100% recommend this place!
