The people working at this store are so nice and lovely. They will make you feel like family.
The customer service is exceptional and all of them are super helpful.

Mary is a very nice lady and always ready to help with all good wishes.

Food is good too with many options and to make it more convenient they have a separate section for beers and wine.

You can get some very fresh groceries and diff household stuff.

Mary, Rhoda, and everyone thank you so much for making my every visit special ❤️❤️

customer service at the wynford location is horrible. I went today to EXCHANGE a Neilson cream container. The two managers on call did not even bother to scan the barcode to determine if I was telling the truth or not. They treated me like a stranger when I spend hundreds of dollars at their store. This is definitely not your friendly neighbourhood store. They two managers actually told me to shop elsewhere as they would not allow me to exchange of their store-bought items, that was neither expired or spoiled. I am extremely disappointed with the poor quality of customer service I encountered today and have made a decision to NOT shop at Marcheleos anymore thanks to their employees.

Really disappointed - fresh food bar return fiasco - no return policy on terrible food.

I live nearby and have shopped there since it opened up on Wynford. The fresh food area where they prepare meals used to be really good but has gone downhill over the past few years.

Where there was friendly staff behind the counter, quality pizzas and good meals to go, now the staff are less than courteous, lack basic knowledge in what they are serving and the quality of the food itself has gone down. Mistakes on your order are very common.

Which leads to me to my issue that took place on October 18th at the Wynford store. I purchased a meal to go of Chicken Marsala and Squash Ravioli (the special they had for the day) and the person serving me was impatient, frustrated and was not keen on answering questions and mostly just gestured to things.

I purchased the meal, brought it home to eat and it was inedible. The sauce on the chicken had separated - oil from milk fat, and the chicken was very dry. The ravioli had no sauce on it or it had long since evaporated while sitting in the warmers at the store.

I maybe took half a bite of each and didn't eat any more

Because I had to work, I had to wait until the next day to bring it back to try to return it. I was refused - it is their store policy to not allow returns on any fresh meals.

What? How do you not stand behind the food you the store prepares? It was not about taste, it was about QUALITY and the quality of the food was terrible in this case and a refund should be issued.

I will never get food from there again- obviously but I will be contacting head office to talk with them.

Customers deserve better

Excellent food quality and a beautiful store. Reading some of the other reviews on here and what a tough crowd - the store has only been open a short period of time!

I've gone to their first store a few times and the selection and quality of their groceries (meats & produce especially is amazing) similar to longo's quality. They do state they are a Gourmet Marketplace and hence the experience and quality of products justifies the price.

The new store is great, it offers a convenient location in the centre of a dense condo/apartment area with no other walking distance supermarket. It has a wide selection of products and it's amazing to finally see wine & beer outside of the LCBO - by the way the closest one is a 15 minute drive away from this area.

I visited this new location most recently this weekend and it's good to see they've ironed out most the major kinks since their soft opening a few weeks ago.
Can't wait for the warm weather to enjoy more of their freshly made gelato!

I complained to the manager at the Atrium on Bay location, that the cashier, a young girl at the register, a few days before, stood there, at the time, and did nothing to help me. I had to unload the basket for her, and after she had rung everything up, she watched as I was made to load everything into my bags, and return the basket to the other side of the store. The manager agreed that this was, indeed, wrong, and went to speak to her and another cashier. When I went to the cashier, I was told to go to the other cashier on the other side. As I unloaded the basket, and placed everything on top of the counter, the girl had a downward turned mouth, and stared at me as though she had been offended by my complaint, and eyed me without any emotion, and spoke in monotone. She just repeated: "Do you need a bag?" with same cold, dead, stare, and grim downward mouth, over and over, in response to me as I told her that her attitude was bad, and what was so disconcerting to me was I felt treated like I was her enemy and a stranger. I was born in 1962 in Canada, and this just isn't the way I was taught to behave, or the "Canadian Way"---certainly not a day before Christmas. My wife is dying from cancer, with less than three months to live. I did not expect such a cold reception and such an hostile attitude. The manager came after I had hollered to him, and when he came, he kept repeating that it was all in my head, and that I was imagining things. I suggested that the girl should have been be kinder, and at least, smiled, as I have always been treated everywhere else. This was an anomaly. He told me it is her personality. I said that it was about service. In the end, he told me to leave the store. To add insult to injury. I told him I will never come back and complain online in a review. As I left, I was so hurt and angered I kicked some baskets on my way out, and he threatened to call the police. Then security came and escorted me out of the store, with the manager now shouting at me to get out and never come back. This is Canada, today. This is life in Toronto, now. I have never been so badly treated. It used to be that the customer was always right. But now it is all about the cashier. And yet., I am the one paying for her service, not her paying me. I don't get it? What happened to this once great country? My only answer is immigration and multi-culturalism. People who have brought their bad attitudes and lack of values from where they came from, and the subsequent erosion of what it once meant to be a Canadian. Everyone who I spoke with after this incident all agreed with me, that it was wrong what happened to me, and even apologized for it, and others, too, grieved that this county has changed for the worse. As I was escorted away I yelled to everyone within earshot to not vote Liberal or NDP. I could go on about what happened. But it is Christmas. May peace be to men of good will. I am not a bad man. But I am being treated like an enemy and stranger in my own country. Especially when I was born here, and was here first, long before these new immigrants arrived.
