Worst framing job I have ever seen. A couple of years ago, I bought an original acrylic painting in Guelph & decided to have a local Oshawa shop here frame it. The painting was 40” square on a 2” x 2” pine stretcher which is standard, so all it needed was a frame moulding installed. Craig showed me some options, I selected a simple one & left it with him. What he did next boggles my mind. He removed the canvas from the artist’s original stretcher - anyone who frames art professionally knows that is a huge no-no especially to do so without my written consent from the owner (me). The resulting job started to show ripples because the canvas had come loose. I returned it but his attempts to fix it did not work. Do not let this shop anywhere near an original canvas to be framed.

Came here after a long search for my beloved Lamp Berger fluid. They had great stock and the testers! 🙏 the owner was so kind and informational. He does lovely custom framing that I saw throughout the shop. Very nice place!

Today I attended the store with specifics of my request. Not only did the finished product exceed my expectations, but my order was completed 24hrs before the expected delivery date.

I totally recommend having your artwork framed here! Craig worked with me, and stood behind his workmanship. The smallest of details and professionalism far exceeded my expectations. Big box stores do not give this kind of valued experience and personal touches. I can say, I love my swans and the artwork looks beautiful on my wall! Thank you, wish I could give more stars

This review is long overdue but I wanted to make sure I gave this place a proper review. About a year ago I had brought a canvas to this location that I wanted framed. Unfortunately during the process (and at no fault to the owner) the canvas got damaged and was beyond repair. The owner was extremely sympathetic and took ownership of the issue even though it was no fault on his end and wanted to make it right by me. At the end of the day, he made it up to me and was able to get the third party who ruined my canvas to reprint a replacement. If I have any framing needs in the future I’ll definitely be using Kay’s. Companies like Kay’s who put customer satisfaction above all else is the reason why they are successful. I love the work you did and will definitely be back in the future.

Such a lovely place. Bobbie and Craig are the wonderful couple that run this little gift shop. I visited them to get a poster framed for a Christmas gift. At the last minute! Craig got it done in 20 minutes. Just for reference, Michael's quoted 2 weeks!

I ordered a canvas online and needed to get it stretched. I found this amazing local business that has been owned by the same gentleman for the past 30 years.

He stores everything he needs on site, and has a huge variety of custom finishes, artwork, lampe Berger, and so much more.

If you are looking for ANYTHING art related you are doing yourself a disservice by not stopping here first.
