I used to love shopping at this store and always gave it 5 stars, but after my experience today, I’m dropping it to 1 star. I came in to pick up a few things and noticed Chapman's Cookies and Cream for $5, so I grabbed it. At checkout, it rang up at $7.50. The cashier was confused, and they had to call for a price check.

Another employee confirmed the tag said $5, but then repeatedly questioned who updates the tags, noting that it was from *March* — even though it's now *late April*. I was then told I couldn’t get it for $5 because the current flyer only includes “ice cream,” and this was labeled “frozen yogurt.” A customer beside me pointed out that because the price tag was wrong, I should get it for free — and honestly, she wasn’t wrong.

Instead, 4–5 employees began arguing with me about it. I calmly explained that I wasn’t even asking for it free — just for the $5 price that was clearly posted. They continued to argue, ignored the issue, and refused to honor the price. Almost 30 minutes went by, and the store was closing. I left my number and was told the owner is on vacation.

I will not be returning until this is resolved. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB and contacting head office. I feel I am now owed more than just the discount — some kind of compensation is absolutely fair at this point. Free? You tell me. But I expect the owner to follow up with me directly.

The experience was too bad for me. The owner is too rude with his employees and constantly pushing them to sale expire food in his store. I bought avocados from this No frills and noticed it is already expired and moreover they are selling it to their customers. Also, their price tag is too confusing like them when I tried to pay for one of cream cheese it charged me 7.70 whereas it’s 4 dollar per box. When I raised this issues with them, the owner came and started arguing with me. When I dragged him to the spot then he realized I was right then he began to shout at his employees which was quite rude to see because we can’t behave with your employees in front of people. Really shame to experience that.

This store is becoming more and more disappointing every time I shop there. They have some of the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. There is never anyone in sight when you need to ask a question, and even when you do find someone, they're always confused and often only "think" they know where your item is. The self check-out there is RIDICULOUS! There us VERY LITTLE ROOM to move around (they should take self-checkout notes from the Stevenson Road Walmart), the person attending the self-checkout is ALWAYS miserable, and it ISN'T the same person every time, and whatever person working the self check-out, they ALWAYS seem to be easily frustrated and even rude a lot of the time. It appears that working that position makes employees VERY UNHAPPY. The store as a whole needs to do much better. They often switch things around for NO apparent reason, and they REMOVE items that are GOOD SELLERS. Why remove an item so popular that it sells out QUICKLY every time they restock? They have some products on a dedicated shelf AND in random spots in the store, making it difficult and confusing for any shopper, especially Instacart shoppers.
There are VERY OFTEN people sitting/laying/sleeping AND BEGGING FOR MONEY right at the entrance to the store, and all they say when you report it inside is...... "We know. They have been asked to leave, but they won't." The shelves are MESSY... and products are often stocked with the FRENCH SIDE facing outward or even sideways where the label isn't properly visible at all.
The washroom is HORRIBLE there. It is NOT well kept or PROPERLY CLEANED.
They DON'T have enough product in stock when they have sales... EVER.
The prices are NOTHING like they used to be... and it is no longer more convenient to shop at No Frills. Not this one anyway! Tbh, I only shop there bc it's the closest grocery store to me, but I have recently started ordering from OTHER grocery stores via Instacart bc this store just ISN'T worth my time or money anymore.
Unfortunately for the store owner... I'm noticing that other people I know are feeling pretty much the same way I do about this store and are choosing to go or order from somewhere else. Perhaps they will reason their reviews one day and hear what the CUSTOMERS are saying... and will hopefully make some VERY NECESSARY CHANGES because things will continue to decline for them if they don't put in the effort needed to change people's opinions. 🙏🤞

Garbage outside is always overflowing, makes me wonder if it's attracting rats. Most of the shopping cart wheels are broken in some way as well.

Every picture has good quality food some whole, some processed health plus like Greek Plain yogurt.The same yogurt with vanilla flavor has 10+ grams of sugar.2pks of stevia give Greek yogurt a taste lift.Im eating sandwich(s) that are good for my health thanks to 'Sophia' the cashier.Nadims is good for my senior citizen health,food and service 5stars today 09/03/24 Thanks again
