An older hotel but it is well maintained for the most part. The bathrooms are small and very 80s like. I had impeccable service from both staff members that I dealt with. My key card did not work both times that I had tried to get into my room and the ladies at the front desk were quick to help me with it. On the second attempt I had a very nice lady named Eunice help me, she and I were having a pleasant conversation when she suddenly started to panic and started to rush away, it was odd, then I saw what seemed to be her manager walking up to us and staring at her. He was a creepy looking dude so I went back to the front desk to see if everything was ok. He was gone by then so I let it be. Overall, the hotel is fine for a one or two night stay but I would not be able to last more than that, the AC has a hard time keeping up and it is very loud. The beds are not very comfortable. I will try another place the next time I am in Slave Lake

I stayed here for a work trip, and it wasn’t the best experience. I had a room upstairs and it was ridiculously hot even with the AC on high and windows open. The shower would go cold randomly every time I used it during my week stay. The service was good, the ladies at the desk were kind. However one of the staff followed me up to my room during one of the days to see if my card worked? I thought it was odd as I could’ve just went to the desk if it wasn’t working. Also a coworkers vehicle was stolen out of the parking lot so I’d make sure that your vehicle is in a spot with surveillance in case anything was to happen.

Room was very 70s but I loved the quirks and atmosphere. Very large layout but I could still park close to my room. Had a note left on my truck telling me not to back in in a certain spot due to an air intake being there, didn't realise I missed the signs saying not to park backed in there. It was nice to have a friendly reminder rather than a fine or something. Very quiet rooms due to old-school concrete block walls.

I stayed here with some family recently, the rooms were clean, complimentary breakfast was quite good (though the eggs are overcooked), the staff is very nice. I have no complaints.

One note if you decide to stay here, make sure to keep your card away from electronics (like your phone) apparently you can demagnetize it and you'll need to get it fixed.

Bit of a maze to find your room or right door to go in to find your room when you first get there. Other then that clean rooms, comfy beds, small fridge, microwave. If comfy but not extravagant is OK for you then this is a good place. Near lots of amenities with either short drive or walk.

Food was really good at the restaurant.

The rooms are dated as hell, everything is old, and value village status. Bathrooms are gross, tubs are old and outdated. I had no toilet paper on my roll, and the ac was leaking and didn't work.
Gym is a fair size, but only one bench.

Checked in for a third stay, the next afternoon I get a call saying they found cigarette but in my garbage and I was smoking in my room. I did have 2 nuts in a cup that I had smoked outside. And brought back to the room and threw them in the garbage. Rather than litter. If they are going through my garbage what else are they going through in my room. Checked out the next morning never to return. To sketchy for me. And housekeeping always turned my a/c off and opened the curtains . Sun shining in and room was always hot and a/c sucked to begin with.
