This was such a wonderful place to spend a summer weekend. It was clean, organized and beautiful with comfortable, spacious rooms. We enjoyed the recreational activities (kayaking, crabbing, fishing, paddle boarding) as well as just relaxing on board. We were able to use the provided binoculars to watch the wildlife on land (we loved seeing the black bears and eagles!) The host was kind, accommodating and easy to communicate with.
10/10 experience!

Had a great experience on the Innchanter with our family. It was truly a unique experience. The boat had character and ambiance and Josh and Taylor (and Ellie) were awesome hosts - down to earth and easy to chat with. |We got to kayak - near sea lions, along the shores, to a secluded waterfall in the forest, and into town. Explored Ucleulet and Tofino and the cool coffee shops, art stores, tourist stores, and hiked a few awesome forest trails and along beaches. It was fun to challenge ourselves with a 3 minute cold dip before warming back up in the sauna. I was proud that I managed it and surprised how refreshed I felt after. And our kids loved jumping off the top into the water below!|We got to spend some quality time with our family playing games, exploring, and just hanging out. We stayed for 1 night with a family of 5 (children 16, 15, 12) in 3 rooms. The boat is charming; loads of character with lovely bedrooms, and stunning lounge/bar and dining room areas. To state the obvious ... it's a boat, so don't expect huge bedrooms or bathrooms, but it was clean and well maintained, the rooms and beds were really comfortable (we all slept like babies) and you can shower and plug in phones which is all we needed.
The location was easy to find, there was ample free parking, and the pick up and drop off were bang on time and easy enough with 5 wheelie suitcases and 5 backpacks in tow.
Outside there was a great sundeck for both sun and star worship, and at night we stoked up the sauna which we alternated with dips in the ocean. Borrowed some kayaks for a lovely paddle up-river in the evening, and Josh was kind enough to set up some gear for my son to fish off the boat, and even took us out for an unscheduled trip in his fishing boat after dinner.
Breakfast and dinner were freshly cooked, plentiful, and absolutely delicious with locally sourced fresh ingredients (salmon from the bay for dinner, eggs from up the road for breakfast); so nice to have some home-cooked food after eating loads of takeaway on our holiday. Breakfast was even more special when a black bear appeared on the shore-line right next to us for 10 minutes.
Josh and Taylor (and Ellie the dog) were charming hosts and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and help us get the most out of our time on-board InnChanter.
I would highly recommend a stay here, and my only regret was not booking for 2 nights so that we could have had more time to relax and enjoy it and make use of more of the activities on-board.

Outstanding!
We spent 2 days here, and it was unforgettable start to finish. Rooms were beautiful, food was delicious, with much of it locally sourced, and our hosts Josh and Taylor made us feel comfortable and welcome from the start. The boat 🐕 Ellie is the best welcome committee ever!!
Jumping between the sauna and the ocean, kayaking, and paddle boarding in the stunning inlet only added to the experience further. The lack of light pollution is perfect for star gazing and to enjoy the bioluminscence in
We will absolutely be back.

Wow! What a night at The Inn Charter! This place has it all - charm, adventure, and some seriously good food.
Josh and Taylor, the amazing hosts, welcomed us aboard their 1920s heritage vessel and it was like stepping into another time. Cozy rooms, a fireplace in the saloon, and a floating sauna - seriously, a sauna on the water! Not to mention the views of wildlife right from the boat. Spotted a black bear on the shoreline!
The food here was the real deal. Fresh, healthy, tasty, every meal was a delight.
Josh, Taylor and their incredible pup Ellie were one of a kind hosts! Such a cool experience.
If you're looking for a unique getaway, definitely check out The Inn Charter. It's not just a stay, it's a whole experience.

I don't usually do reviews but we had such a good experience on the Innchanter. We came with our grown children after visiting family in Vancouver and stayed a few days. I am so glad we added on this side vacation. It was truly a unique experience. The boat had character and ambiance and Josh and Taylor were awesome hosts - down to earth and easy to chat with.
We got to kayak every day - along the shore, into an inlet to some cool waterfalls, and across the water to explore the quaint little towns of Ucluelet and Tofino - cool vibe, cool coffee shops & art stores. Also hiked a few awesome trails into the "enchanted" forests and along the beaches that were recommended by our hosts. It is so beautiful here. We got to watch the sea lions, saw a bear meander on shore, and caught some crabs for dinner.
Our meals were delicious and creative - I wanted to take J & T home with us to be our personal chefs!! And it was fun to challenge ourselves with a 3 minute cold dip between sauna soaks. (I was proud that I managed it and surprised how invigorated and good I felt after). The kids loved jumping in from the top of the boat.
We got to spend quality time with our family playing games, exploring, cuddling up for a movie in the movie room and just hanging out. And the beds and bedding were very comfortable!
Thank you J & T (and sweet Ellie) for the amazing experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the InnChanter a lot! Josh and Taylor are super kind and open hosts and it was always nice talking to them. The ship itself is really cool and the interior design is soo cute and for a ship still spacious. It's also the perfect location to see wildlife! When we used their kajaks we saw a bear family, seals, bald eagles and more. Besides, the meals Josh cooked for us were very delicious!! They also have a floating sauna, bar, a little movie room and a lot of games, so you're not gonna get bored! We enjoyed every second of our stay and would definitely recommend it! 🙂
