The environment was clean, safe, and full of love, which made me feel confident in the breeder’s commitment to raising healthy, happy puppies. We want to thank Hillview Retrievers from the bottom of our hearts for blessing us with the most perfect fur baby. From first contact Denise was always professional and responsive. Every experience was enjoyable - from meeting the mom and dad, to picking out our baby, to bringing him home. It is obvious that the dogs here are family pets first and are well loved and taken care of. The space could not be more clean and comfortable for the puppies. The pups are also raised with kids and cats and the results are a well socialized pup from day one. Denise was also kind enough to send us tonnes of update photos along the way. These pups are a beautiful red colour and they grow to be gorgeous dogs. We couldn’t be happier with our fluffy bundle of joy. He’s healthy, happy, and too cute to handle. Denise was very quick to answer any and all of my questions. Got my pup in September 2021 and he’s grown quite a bit in 5 months. So far he’s healthy, good size, good with kids but at this age has a lot of energy, so exercise is a must. Be aware they are large dogs and sometimes may knock over toddlers by accident.

Very loving, intelligent and obedient, but start training them early to establish rules. Responded well to crate training which is a must. Excellent temperament, never growled at another human, including kids intruding in his area.

These Goldens are more on the red/darker brown shade.

We are very happy with our kind, smart, and beautiful puppy we got from Hillview Retrievers.
Denise is very knowledgeable and supportive and we couldn't be happier that our dog got to spent the first weeks of their life at Hillview Retrievers. The puppy was very well socialized when we picked them up and also already knew commands like 'sit' and come with a whistle, and seemed to be familiar with walking stairs.
