Love shopping here! Their produce is beyond brilliant; fresh, varied and plentiful. Decided to can jalapeños and make pesto because all the goods were so awesome. Oh, and we only came in for one thing 😆😂 Thank you Local Harvest!

I love this place. I've had a reminder in my calendar for months to stop in while traveling to Vancouver Island from Calgary on vacation. It's even better than the last time I stopped in as they have built a fabulous store front market. Everything for sale is organic including all of their flours and other baking products. I stocked up on whole wheat and white flour as well as a variety of other flours they offer and other baking items. We were there at the perfect time for wood fired pizza right out of the oven. It was so delicious 😋😋. The service was outstanding. I needed to discuss flour varieties and the different grinds. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great chat with the young man who cooked our pizza. He was very personable and showed a genuine interest in us. We will definitely be back for pumpkins on our way back through Chilliwack.

Great bakery, love their sourdough bread. We drove here from Surrey to buy Chili sourdough bread, but the staff told us it is only made and sold on Friday! A little disappointed! Therefore, we purchased multi-grain and Spelt sourdough bread, cinnamon buns and blueberry scones. A bit pricey, but the quality is good, the taste is delicious, so it is worth it.

We were hitch hiking from our boat to a hardware store on N. Pender Island in BC looking for propane. On the way we began talking about pancakes. I had forgotten to include pancake ingredients in our supplies. Across the country road from the hardware store we noticed a building with a veranda called, simply, Country Store. Looking to stock our larder for the following weeks we went in. In a few moments Maggie peeked from behind a row of shelves and said, "Here's some pancake mix!!" I checked it out, was impressed and quickly added it to our pile. I just put together Anita's pancakes for lunch and Maggie and I loved every bite. She said, "This is the best pancake I've ever had", which hurt my feelings a little bit since I'm pretty proud of mine but I had to admit she was right. These are the best pancakes I've ever had too!

From my experience they only ever have farm fresh. I have never seen them bring in grocery store fruits, vegetables or other items. So worth the quick stop for fresh bakery items!
