Great food options, great pastries and great food. The service was very impressive. If you’re coming here for lunch or to pick up food for the office, definitely try to come before noon as this place gets busy fast!

Hands down, the best café on the Coast.

You honestly can’t go wrong with anything from their pastry case, every single thing is pure magic. They’re always switching up flavours, so there’s something new (and equally delicious) to try every day, but somehow the quality is always perfect. I dream about their peach-ginger oat bars, it’s that good.

And that’s just the pastries. Their hot food menu? Also incredible. Any of the breakfast sandwiches will leave you satisfied, happy, and considering a second coffee just to stay longer. Speaking of coffee, also amazing (shocker, I know). Strait makes the best mocha I have ever had (especially iced mochas in the summer). Seriously unparalleled

The staff are also great, super friendly, and quick even when it’s busy (which it always is, for good reason). The vibe is cozy, welcoming, and perfect whether you’re catching up with friends or hiding out with a book.

Short story long: go to Strait. You won't regret it.

Awesome spot. The customer service is top notch. Everyone is so friendly and kind that works there! Lauren is particularly friendly and goes the extra mile! Fresh food made daily and coffee. Banana walnut muffin is top notch!

My family and I used to love going to Strait, but had to stop because there is ALWAYS the same older man smoking on the patio when we go! I'm not sure why the management hasn't asked him to leave, as the doors are always open and the smoke goes directly into the cafe, but when we politely asked him to stop smoking he was very rude and acted like it was his house and he could do what he wants. We've talked to others who said the same, and it's made them stop going to Strait for this very reason. I hope management will take care of this at some point because our family and friends used to love going here, but won't be back until things change for the better.

Fantastic coffee, excellent sweets, but savory items like their cheese scones are very bland. Service was a bit lackluster like refilling the shared water jug, cleaning tables, etc. You kind of have to do a lot of that yourself and chase down what you've asked for multiple times. Service is probably quite a bit better when they're not busy.
