Had dinner here for the 1st time. I can't believe I travelled all the way from Niagara, Ontario to find this gem serving up HOME MADE pasta!

It is tough for me to find home made pasta in Niagara with a population of 500,000 and here I am in Bassano, Alberta a small town of less than 2,000 people eating a home made pasta and sauce dinner!

Had the Pasta Bolgonese with meatballs and it was dynamite! Prices are super reasonable! Another reason to come back to Bassano!

Had my Birthday supper the other night. The the level of service here is very good some other restaurants could learn a thing or two from this place. My wife ordered the steamed muscle and I had the 10oz ribeye. Also had the wings to start, the wings were nice hot straight from the kitchen but their nothing fancy just plain generic wings. The steak on the other hand was very juicy and tasty. The baked stuffed potato was also good. My wife enjoyed her muscles but she said they weren't very spicy at all so maybe they spice level could be a little higher. For dessert I had the apple pie and my wife had the red velvet cake.
One thing I noticed when first arrived was the dinning area was rather cool and not warm.
All in all this restaurant is a hidden gem for sure as I don't know to many restaurants where the owner / chef come out to ask you how your meal was. Highly recommend stopping by.

We stopped by this place on our way to Calgary because of the reviews. Located in Bassano, this place is a hidden gem. It opens at 5 PM, and we arrived around 5:15. It was really quiet when we got there.
The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. We had steak, salad, and spaghetti, and everything was fantastic. We loved this place!

If you have the time, stop by and eat here. My fiancee got the Chicken lasagna and I got Tortellini Massai, both were fantastic in their own way. Also, they don't give you garbage garlic bread like BPs, instead you get toasted baguette thin cuts which go perfect with whatever sauce is in your dish. Support the great little places, I will be back to try everything.

Armando’s has high quality food from authentic Italian cuisine, to amazing pizza, steaks and seafood. Armando never disappoints. Well worth the price and with the addition of his patio I’ve enjoyed the margaritas they serve too.

Great Service and I appreciate the help on the order with Delivery Service right to my Truck at the Truck Stop. The Armando Deluxe was Hot and freshly made. It was great crust was was perfect to my liking. Thank you!

Wow! What a gem! Spaghetti was just killer, veal stuffed tortellini, chicken cordon blue also fantastic. Service was awesome and Armando came out of the kitchen to see how everything was. This will be a definite repeat visit.

Stopped in 20 minutes before closing…waitress was outstanding..my wife had iced tea and the glass was never 1/2 empty.. I just had water and if I emptied it - it was filled immediately..we had the tortellini and Spaghetti..both were phenomenal..Armando himself came out and talked with us..he grows his own garden right beside the restaurant..everything was so fresh and delicious..fine Italian cuisine tucked into a small town..what a hidden gem..will definitely be back…5 star for sure!!
