I purchased a pair of wool pants online and due to packaging they were creased. I dropped by Bayview Village today to get them steamed as sales rep at Eaton Center advised it could be done on the spot. I walked into the store around 1:35 pm and asked Chirag if they could be steamed. He said it was too busy and couldn’t be done right away. When I insisted as I needed the pants for work Monday he reluctantly said ok but it would take 20 minutes. I returned and not only had the pants not been steamed but they were put out on the floor . Luckily I had my receipt as there were different styles out on the floor and they were able to find my pants. Then I had to wait for them to be steamed again. I was made to feel less important by Chirag as I was not purchasing anything new but wanted service for an item I had just purchased online. I have been shopping at Bansva Republic for over 30 years and have always had exceptional service except for today. Eaton center who was also very busy on a Friday lunch hour offered to do it on the spot however I had to go back to work and had nowhere to store pants so decided to go to Bayview Village which near my home.

I am very pleased with my experience here, particularly with Angie, who assisted me in returning my item when their internet system was down. She kindly allowed me to leave my purchase with the store since I paid with Amex and had to leave the country. They processed my return without requiring me to come back, and I really appreciated this—it was pure golden service. They refunded me within a couple of days once their system was up and running again.

Convenient location, good products, (mostly) courteous and professional staff. They do seem short-staffed at the moment, so you may have to go out of your way to call out for help. For one, there wasn’t anybody stationed in the change room.

There was one staff member who didn’t seem to like me going around and asking multiple staff members for assistance instead of going back to that individual, so that was rather jarring.

My experience at this store today was nothing short of pure racism and discrimination.

I only purchase Banana Republic clothes. I frequent your stores around the world. I encourage my friends and family to purchase BR clothing. I won’t ever do so again. Extremely hurt and saddened by the treatment I experienced today.

The individual responsible for this behavior told me to get lost once I asked for his name so I’ve posted a picture of him instead.

BR doesn’t seem to respond to reviews posted here so I will escalate this complaint to head office.

Love this location, really enjoy the more elevated Banana Republic styles. The associates in the store is just fantastic!! The store is always clean and very easy to shop. This is my go to store

What atrocious customer service at this location. Visited on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 4:44 PM. There was at the time one lady working and one tall(ish) man. I was walking up and down the store and no one is bothering to help me find what I’m looking for. They salespeople are also very paranoid about you touching any clothes on the rack and the shelf, and follow you around (at least following my brother and me around) so you don’t touch anything on the shelf. No one was helping me find my pants, so I took out my size from the pile on the shelf, and the tall salesman confronted me and accused me of “messing up his neat pile”. Then he said, that if I wanted anything to ask him and he will take out the size for me, standing in front of the shelf so I wouldn’t touch anything. What ridiculous behaviour. I have shopped at Banana Republic all around the world from New York to California to Florida and always receive fantastic customer service. This Bayview Village location has always been a stuck up location with unfriendly salespeople, but now they have resorted to discrimination and intimidation as well. How shameful.

Went to discuss about a pair of leggings I bought online. It’s one size too small. Only being told there was nothing they could do, no return, no exchange, no store credit because it’s final sale. I asked to see the manager. The mid aged woman came over and made few comments like it’s too old of a style and it’s only $12. She also said she could not help me even if she wanted to. To be honest I did not get any feeling that she had the slightest intention to help me at all. I don’t like this store at all. I won’t be back. Also think twice before you buy anything online from banana republic.
