My wife and I spent a few nights in the B&B in February. It was my first time in a B&B, having only stayed in hotels in the past, and I was convinced by the reviews though a little apprehensive. Our stay was excellent! Alex and Pete were incredibly hospitable. The environment was warm and welcoming and our room was terrific. We loved the fire place and all the amenities they made available. We also really enjoyed the multi course breakfast that Pete and Alex cooked and beautifully presented each day. A fabulous experience that sets an incredibly high bar. Believe the reviews - this is a great place.

Alex and her husband Pete are the most wonderful hosts. The house and our room had an amazingly comfortable king size bed and everything you could possibly need from a coffee maker in the room a refrigerator and all the amenities. Their breakfasts are delicious and chef quality. The location is quiet and a short walk down into the town of Banff. This was the best perfect place to stay, exceptional hosts that made it feel like home away from home. Great advice for places and restaurants. Perfect all around. Recommend that everyone stay here. You will not be disappointed. Their whole family helps out too and everyone is wonderful. Will stay here again for sure.

A delightful place to stay in Banff. The house is beautiful and full of character. Our room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Our hosts Pete and Alex were very welcoming and gave lots of helpful suggestions for places to visit and local restaurants. The property is in a quiet street with an easy walk into town. There is a cute breakfast area and a welcoming lounge area open to all guests. Breakfasts each day were delicious and everything was home made by Alex with Pete front of house. We felt very much at home and would highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed six nights and had our overall best B&B experience ever. First, the room was spacious and impeccably clean, had a very comfortable bed with a nice mountain view from the balcony, and the breakfasts, always-available baked goods and snacks were wonderful. Each day the breakfast offerings were different and always gourmet quality. The owners were also very accommodating to our dietary restrictions and even packed us a delicious lunch for the airport when we had to leave early before we could enjoy all three breakfast courses the day we departed. The Nespresso machine in the room was also a nice touch. The location was perfect as it was less than a 5 minute walk to downtown Banff, the Tunnel Mountain Trail and the Bow River trail. They also provide complimentary hiking equipment (bear spray, crampon ice cleats) and bicycles.||However, best of all were the owners--Alex and Pete. What a tremendous young couple. We quickly fell in love with their genuine warmth and kindness and felt like we were staying with family. Alex prepared excellent meals and provided good guidance on dining and experiences around Banff. Pete was just the nicest fellow one could ever hope to meet. He too gave invaluable hiking and scenery advice. It was truly a pleasure to meet such fine people, and admittedly we were a bit sad when we had to leave. We hope they continue to operate this quality property for decades to come.||Finally, there are only four rooms at Thea's House, so I cannot recommend strongly enough you make this your No. 1 choice for lodging in Banff if you can snag a reservation. I promise you will not regret doing so.
