I really liked the store, their merchandise and their service for many years BUT until I had an issue with a gift from their shop. A portmeirion Sophie Conran silver alloy bowl - it was used once for salad, and became spotted on the inside ( only hand washed). I couldn’t go back since they had closed, but now many months later they anre open again around the block. So I went in 2 weeks ago, saw Mr Hutman, showed the bowl. He took pictures and said he would contact the manufacturer, not sure if they would do anything, and he couldn’t exchange the bowl. Really! It’s supposed to be for hot or cold food - says it on the box. We put salad in! And he’s selling it still for $140.00. I was a bit surprised. He told me some ridiculous thing about you should put a liner in the bowl if anything acidic is being served . It’s for hot or cold food! I never return or exchange unless these a big problem - and this was it.

Such a cute and welcoming store! They took the time to wrap my gifts for me and took great care and attention to make sure the gifts looked their best. The big sweetheart dogs that watch the store are an added bonus <3

The store owner was so attentive. He brought me a full box of reading glasses to try on until we found a perfect fit. It was a small purchase, but he treated me royally. I couldn't recommend the store more fully. The customer service, careful attention to details, and staging sets the boutique apart from similar stores.

The best place for unique gifts, treats for friends or for yourself. Everything I’ve bought here makes me smile - no buyer’s remorse ever! I frequently visit friends in the US and they all love the dish towels in French or with Montreal street names. The shop is like a magic space where everything’s pretty and the owners David and Max just want you to find the perfect addition for a kitchen, bath, coffee table, or hostess/wedding/birthday gift.
