I purchased an Avenir guitar from Brickhouse Guitars.Roger and Pauline are so kind and helpful. They made the guitar purchase an easy and most pleasant experience. I had some custom fret work done and it turned out beautifully.The guitar is more beautiful than the demonstration video showed.The sound of the guitar is amazing! The presentation and demonstration of the guitar was excellent. Roger is one of the best finger style guitar players I have ever heard. I've wanted to do this review for well over a month now but could never think of the rights words to give Roger proper praise for the great experience I've had as a new customer.

I had been wanting a "lifetime" guitar and had set my sights on a Boucher. There aren't many dealers in Ontario and there was not much stock of what I wanted, but Roger had a few dreadnaughts at his fine store, so I called him up. I had so many questions, as this was my first time ever even considering buying a boutique quality guitar. He always went out of his way to answer my questions... even replying to an email when he had just boarded the flight for his and his wife's vacation.

So I thought I wanted a Boucher SG-52-V which is a great guitar, but while at Brickhouse I saw my dream guitar on a stand in the middle of one of his showrooms. It was the Boucher SG-152-MV (Studio Goose, Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, Master grade Adirondack top with their Vintage pack) that I had drooled over so many times on Roger's website. I played it, along with some others, but the 152 blew me away!..and I was in love and really wanted it.
Roger was instrumental (pun intended) in making that happen.

I drove away on cloud 9 with my dream Boucher "lifetime" guitar, and I even have a YouTube video of my guitar being played by JP Cormier when he visited Roger's shop. Very cool!

Truth told, Roger's just a passionate guitar player who cares about people, and who truly wants every other player to have the best musical experience possible...and he comes through with flying colors.

Brickhouse Guitars is #1 in my books.
If you're thinking of a nice guitar and you have questions, Roger's your man.

I want to thank Roger for fitting me with the right guitar for me.i am glad I made the trip to meet you and talk guitars . As soon as I walked in the door I felt comfortable and relaxed with no pressure . Roger is a stand up honest person who doesn't try to upsale you and his inventory of fine guitars is second to none. Being a beginner I wanted a guitar I could grow with without breaking the bank and that sounds amazing and Roger checked off all the boxes

I had a most excellent experience with my guitar (Boucher HG-56) purchase recently through Brickhouse and am very happy to add to the wonderful reviews for Roger and Pauline. Being from the US and some distance away from the store, I was nervous about shipping, the care of the instrument in transit and of course buying a guitar without playing it first. Roger walked me through the entire process and was generous with his time.
Happy to say the guitar arrived in perfect condition and I'm delighted with it. Thanks again Roger and Pauline and hope to visit the store in person some day.

Bad experience. I'd recommend anywhere else. I made a mistake ever going here and wish I hadn't. I ended up losing $450 trying to return a purchase I regretted from day one. Essentially got charged a 25% restocking fee.

Edit: I wasn't loaned a guitar, I had to keep it instead of being able to return it while waiting for brickhouse to sell a guitar on consignment before they would return only 75% of my original purchase price, not the 90% they promised.
