Didn’t expect to find such a great restaurant off the beach in Port Stanley.
This is a cool restaurant adorned with historical pictures and marine paraphernalia.
The service is excellent, the food is great ( try their fresh perch and a bowl of chilli) and the price point is reasoable.
We’ll be back for sure

Just wow'd at the great service, delicious food and comfortable atmosphere.
Great suggestions from Devon who knew the menu inside and out and helped pick great options.

This was our first time here but will not be our last time.

Great job to the whole team from back kitchen to customer facing staff.

Oh and the portions are very generous, you will not leave hungry and probably have leftovers for lunch the next day!

Got lucky and ended up stopping in here on the day they do their steak special so I gave that a try and my buddy got the chicken and ribs. The steak was cooked probably and wasn't bad, could have used more seasoning for my liking but was good nonetheless. My buddy also enjoyed his meal and wasn't able to even finish it there was so much food.

Every beach town needs an authentic fish restaurant. The Buccaneer offers a great fish dinner with both their perch or pickerel dinners. We both had the perch dinner, but my wife substituted the fries for mixed vegetables. The wait staff are friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. The patio atmosphere has a great beach vibe. After eating, take a walk on the beach or to the end of the pier.

I ordered the12 ounce prime rib. No salad, no potatoes, no vegetables, no bread. I was served a plate with less than 8 ounces of prime rib, a mound of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. When I was presented with the bill it stated that I had been charged for the "Buccaneer Cut" of prime rib. NOT WHAT I ORDERED!! Not even on the menu that I ordered from. I then said that I did not order this. The bill was begrudgingly reduced but I was still overcharged. I was charged for a 12 ounce cut of meat but only received a less than 8 ounce serving. Total rip off. I was also not given an order receipt, Only a debit receipt.
This will be my absolute last dining visit to this establishment!
They seem to think it is appropriate to under deliver, deliver incorrectly, and charge whatever they see fit, even if it is not what you ordered or received.
My advice would be to stay away from this location. there are several honest establishments that treat their customers with respect, provide good food at reasonable price and do not try to overcharge or incorrectly charge.
I think 12 ounce serving of prime rib should cover more than 2 crackers.

I hadn’t been to this restaurant for a couple of years, but gave it a chance this evening as they were very accommodating to accept our party of 11 last minute despite being very busy. I was completely impressed by the food - the quality has improved substantially over the last couple years. Portions are huge, staff are super friendly and the food was good quality, fresh and delicious. the Buccaneer has definitely pulled into first place for our favourite restaurant in Port.

Food is excellent and portions are large. Our group enjoyed perch and pickerel, burgers, ceasar wraps. Short staffed so service was slow and limited menu as kitchen was short on cooks. Poor selection of beers on tap, most restaurants feature local craft brews.

My husband and I choose a place for lunch or breakfast every Saturday. We decided on the Buccaneer. Neither of us had been before, well, I have been but not for a very long time.

We loved the vibe of the place. Both servers were adorably dressed in all black to give the place that "higher end" vibe, which was super cute.

The menu was fairly small, with not a lot of appetizer options. After we ordered we noticed little stacked cards on the table that offered a few more options that weren't on the menu. Annoying, but oh well!

We started out with the garlic bread with cheese. I am a sucker for a GBC and you can't really go wrong with it. It did come with an orange slice as garnish, which I found really weird (but I still ate it haha). It was decent garlic bread; crispy and cheesy but not very garlicky!

I had the traditional club with fries and gravy. I like to dip my club into gravy and the side of gravy was big enough for that plus my fries! I loooove when the gravy cup can accomodate my dipping 😍😍. The club itself was FAB! Fresh turkey and bacon and it was perfectly toasted. My only gripe on the sandwich, which is totally personal preference, is that I asked for mayo but it came on the side in a little cup. This left me to dismantle my sandwich to add the mayo when it could have been easily added when making it.

My husband had the bacon burger with fries. He said the burger was "okay". It was a bit overcooked for his personal taste and he didn't like the flavour of the burger itself, but again, totally personal preference. Both of us did notice a weird spice on the fries as well; we couldn't quite pinpoint it, but we didn't love it. It was kind of tangy but not spicy.

We also ordered a few pints while there but two of the three came out 2/3 filled. He didn't complain because I would be mortified if he did, but they were kind of pricey to not be completely filled up ($20 for three).

All in all, we really had no complaints. This review is very much a personal preference. There wasn't anything wrong with the food, but it didn't suit our tastes...if that makes sense. We'll probably be back to visit and try other things!
