My wife and I, Marilyn and Patrick, stayed in the Captain's Suite, July 13-17, 2025. First, Dorim meets you at he door and gives you a tour and the Haven is amazing and well cared for by any standards. Dorim is a personable host and growing up in Ramea and Burgeo has a wealth of local knowledge. Our room was spectacular and the view was breathtaking. We rented kayaks for a day and experienced kayaking on the Atlantic Ocean and thick heavy fog 🙁 We took a day trip to Ramea and walked the 8.2 KM boardwalk around the island and experienced 360 degrees of picturesque views. The people of Ramea and Burges are friends and lovely. Back in Burgeo we walked the 3.2 KM Aarons Arm trail to Sandbank Provincial Park. Highly recommended and we also drove there the next day to spend more time in the park. The five beaches are pure sand and a joy to walk. One of the unexpected pleasures were the conversations with other guests in the Haven around our morning breakfast served by Dorim. His meals were exceptional and the conversations gave more insight into living and growing up is small Newfoundland communities. My great appreciation to Dorim and A house guest, Rebecca, who spent time with me sharing their life stories. If you have a chance and are so inclined, I would ask you to read, Nodoken-An Almost True Story of Newfoundland. I author the novel and it's based in Burgeo.

Picture the most beautiful, clean, friendly, homey Bed and Breakfast you could possibly picture… and you might get half as close to what Burgeo Haven actually is. The rooms are big with plenty of room to sit around and take in the incredible view. The owners are so kind and passionate about the area, and breakfast was to die for! The presentation made me feel like I was at Buckingham palace. I probably could have stayed and wandered the historic rooms of this house all day (my goodness - the paintings, the old books!) but how could you when you have all of Burgeo and Sandbanks Provincial Park to explore?! I wish I had a photo of the inn to share, but their adorable hand-built boathouse and waterfront views will have to do. Don’t even ask if you should - just stay here!

As a family of 4 we booked 2 rooms and stayed for 4 nights. Our stay was fantastic, the rooms are clean with great views and the breakfasts are wholesome and tasty. Some of the photos posted make the breakfasts look small, they are actually just right, winning on "quality not quantity".

The hosts were genuinely friendly and enhanced our stay greatly.

We paid extra for a boat tour, which was excellent as well.

This is one of the prettiest BnBs that I've seen and the owners are sticklers for cleanliness and tidiness. Burgeo is a town that not many come down to see and that is a huge mistake. The BnB is smack in the center of town. The bedrooms are spacious, and the common area is inviting. Minutes from the Sandbanks provincial park with gorgeous white sand beaches or go, in the other direction, 3 minutes away from a ferry dock where you can take a one hour ride to the out port of Ramea where there are scenic walking trails.
The owner of the BnB gives kayaking lessons or you can just sit and while the time away on their dock. Breakfast was perfect.

Having spent 4 weeks this summer tripping around Newfoundland staying in motels, hotels, B and Bs, and AirBnBs, I can say without a doubt that Burgeo Haven was the cleanest and most comfortable of all the places I stayed. Hosts were extremely accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable. Breakfasts were awesome, too. A quiet restful spot right on the Atlantic Ocean just a few minutes drive from the beautiful Sandbanks Provincial Park.

Decent and well located at the main street. Very easy to find. Comfortable beds. The breakfast was rather disappointing, but in overall it was a good stay.
