Chillax Eatery & Mart is a cute hidden restaurant by the 401 on Yonge. The ground floor where you enter is an Asian Mart, but the restaurant is upstairs! I've been to the other Chillax locations (& Co on Yonge and Coffee on Leslie) and love them, so I had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately I was disappointed.

The ambiance itself is very cute and cozy. The service is also very good, and the prices aren't bad. We were a party of 3 on a Friday night and it was pretty empty. We were seated in a booth and ordered 2 drinks, an app, and 3 mains. The menu itself is confusing on what they specialize in. They pretty much have a dish in every cuisine you could think of - Japanese, Thai, Taiwanese, Italian... I couldn't gauge what their "specialty" might be. You can't even really call it Asian Fusion because each dish is like its own cuisine - there's nothing innovative to call it "fusion".

The food was subpar. Out of everything, only 1 of the mains is something I would get again - the rigatoni. However the dish did come out cold. The matcha latte was alright with a good sweet taste and enough matcha flavour. Everything else was just average - nothing special but I've had better elsewhere. The ramen was too salty and the smashed burger was... not so smashed.

I really wanted to like this place but maybe my expectations were too high. Unfortunately I won't be returning, but I'll definitely pay a visit to the other locations.

Tip: There is a small paid parking lot behind the restaurant! Despite it being 7pm on a Friday, I was able to find ample parking.

Such a cute bear themed brunch spot! The atmosphere is super cozy, and they even have drinks and snacks from Asia on the first floor. A great place to enjoy a nice meal

Super cute spot. Came for dinner and we loved the warm cozy atmosphere. All the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We got the soy garlic wings, braised beef noodle soup, and the loco moco. Wings were meaty and crispy, soup was very flavourful and the noodles were perfectly chewy, loco moco was super delicious, gravy was the star! Excited to come back and try their brunch next time.

Chillax Eatery & Mart is part shop and part restaurant. Heading upstairs, I found a cozy spot with comfy seating, and a giant teddy bear that looked cute. The only server managed the entire floor with a welcoming smile.
I tried the braised beef noodle soup first and was blown away by how tender the beef was, practically melting with each spoonful. The broth coated my tongue in rich layers, and the slightly firm noodles had a good bite.
Next came the garlic soy fried chicken wings, boasting a crunchy exterior and a perfect sweet-and-salty glaze.
The Lo Bah Png (Taiwanese Braised Pork over rice) was amazing. Slow-cooked pork served on rice that soaked up every drop of savoury goodness.
The deep fried garlic tofu was generous in portion yet felt too spicy and pungent for my liking.
My Mint Yuzu soda finished it all with a crisp citrus lift that refreshed my senses.
I enjoyed my time. I would not mind returning to chill and relax while catching up with a friend.

Cute little restaurant cafe with great tasting food and variety of groceries at the first floor when you just walk in the place. Ordering is convenient through the phone scanning the QR code. Ordering one appetizer, 2 mains, 2 drinks came to about 50 bucks. I'd come here again for a fine dinning meal. After all that I was at the satisfied full level with good foods and great service.

A very pleasant first time experience. The place has a small food store on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor.
The food we ordered was very good and the portions are adequate for the value. Also the presentation was nice without overdoing it.
The menu has a good selection to choose from. I did see any deserts.
We will come again 😀

Food is up to standard. Its good, but not incredible. Reasonably priced. eating upstairs was relaxing. Nice chill music.

Staff earnestly asked for feedback after the meal and I couldn't think of anything negative.

Second visit they were very busy and my food was lukewarm. Still, the service and atmosphere are great.

Third visit, the poutine is awesome and they're playing chill jazz music.

I recommend this place! 👍

Please go and eat here soon so they stick around for a long time!! Perfect place to "chillax".
