I contacted Sue about having my son’s hockey equipment cleaned because he developed a rash on his hands that I was sure was related to the bacteria in his hockey gloves. Sue was able to wash and dry his gear on short notice. The difference is nothing shy of a miracle. She presoaked the gloves and elbow pads (pictures attached) for about 10 minutes then washed the entire set of gear (minus the skates and helmet) including the hockey bag. (I couldn’t believe that my son was playing hockey in gear that was that dirty!) It was also dried. The entire process took about 3ish hours. When we returned to pick up the gear I was shocked and amazed at the wonderful smell coming from gear. It has been 2 weeks and the gear still smells amazing and best of all, no more rash on the hands.
If you have a player with stinky gear, I encourage you to try Cloak and Shield. They deep wash the gear with hypoallergenic solution that isn’t harsh on the material but removed the bacteria and smell cause by sweat. BONUS: It is also extremely affordable!
The entire experience was so easy. My son says that players on his team say his gear smells so good and the drive home after games is no longer dreaded due to stinky gear 🤢

I met Sue at one of the many tryouts we were at this spring, and right away we connected. I was excited to finally give Cloak and Shield a try! My son’s gear didn’t have that awful stink to begin with since we hang it to dry after every use, but when we got it back, it had this super fresh, clean smell. You have to use this service! My son’s gear smelled so bad that it would have been beneficial for me to use a scot air pack when opening it! I could thankfully hand this bag over as is, wet gear and all, and not have to deal with it. His gear was returned to me within 24 hrs and smelled amazing. Not only that, I could be rest assured that the bacteria was removed from his gear. No more rashes for my son! The owner showed me the before and after figures with a special tester that is used in the health care industry. She was very friendly and accommodating with her pick up and delivery service. Her machine is apparently called William the Conquerer, well it definitely conquered my son’s gear, that I didn’t think was possible!
