밴프시내. 마을이 너무너무 이쁘고 아이스크림과 초콜렛빵이 유명하다하여 구입을 했으나 초콜렛빵은 너무달아 입도 못대고 사진만 찍었다. 그런데 그 달고 큰걸 각자 하나씩 들고 먹는 연인을 보니 문화 차이를 느낀다. 참 세계에서 제일 맛있다는 아이스크림도 먹어보는 센스. 달지않고 맛있다는...

Years ago this mall had better shops. I think it’s hay day was when there was the big bookstore. The shops are ok, if they happen to be what you are looking for. It is well maintained and all but I’ve personally given up on popping in.

Banff as a whole is beautiful, but also a tourist trap. I noticed in a lot of stores I went into people in front of me in line would get to the cash register and tell the cashier that they were 'local'. The cashier would then proceed to ask them for 'proof' (I assume an ID of some kind with a local address on it), and then would give them a 'discount'. Most places the discount was 10%. Regardless, it means they are charging 'tourists' more money for regular items than they do the locals. It just came off as very 'scammy' to me. It was expensive as well.

Banff is absolutely beautiful. But be prepared to spend money; and to pay double the price for almost everything (except maybe food).

Very nice shops inside the "mall". Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Otherwise streets and shops are void of people.
