Constance bay pharmacy is literally the downtown, it's a great place to find not only medicine, but lots of other handy and practical gifts and useful items that you may need. It is an amazing family owned and managed business. I like the welcoming warmth and kindness of all is staffs, led by pharmacist Tamara. I recently wrote a negative review following a negative experience at the pharmacy. Since then, I have received a telephone call from the owner Tamara to apologize for the behaviour of her employee and to assure me that his behaviour was not her standard of care for clients. She also assured me that the issue would be firmly addressed. She called on her day off to do this. That’s above the call of duty. Balance has been achieved and I will be going back to the pharmacy for services. That is community service.

Tamara takes the time to speak with you one on one to ensure you feel informed and comfortable with your medications or any questions you may have. They are very quick at filling prescriptions and I'm so happy they are local.

Went today to get a flu shot, asked the man giving the injections to change his gloves after i watched him give an injection, process stuff in the pharmacy and then give a second injection without changing gloves. He roundly rejected my request, informing me that it was not required as the gloves were for his protection and not sterile. I stated that the standard of care in Ontario requires a change of gloves between tasks and between patients. He responded rudely that he didn't have time as he was running a pharmacy, not a hospital and that if i preferred i was welcome to go to the hospital for my vaccine.

Universal precautions were implemented during the HIV/HEPC crisis to protect BOTH clients and workers. You have no idea what you are transferring between patients when you don't change your gloves. Furthermore, i have included a picture of the provincial standards of care. I will NOT be returning to this pharmacy for anything.
